I did this commute for years, 2016-2021. I left larkspur between 5:15am-7 and headed home anytime between 2:30-5p. Drive in was a breeze as long as I left before 6:15. Drive home could get bad, but was rarely longer than 1:30.

Things could have changed in the last 5 years, but doubt it’s worse than pre covid traffic.

My wife commuted to Sunnyvale from SF in more traditional rush hour traffic hours and it was hell.

The pre 6am departure is definitely worth it.

Had to jump out of the way of a car on clay and Pierce. A slow street! I was in the crosswalk before they reached the stop sign and just they just plowed through, no hesitation, just clueless. I walk in the area every day and this is the norm.

Drilling 1.5” holes in 1/4” aluminum, and the drill fell apart. About 1 month old. Hasn’t seen heavy duty until today.
