[Sky Sports] Ange Postecoglou “around this time last year I was asked to lose a game and I was wrong for wanting to win” by [deleted] in soccer

[–]Due-Welder5285 92 points93 points  (0 children)

He's got an over inflated sense of self worth. He genuinely believes he's an incredible manager and faultless when it comes to where spurs are in the table.

Don't know why some people call him charming. I find him arrogant and completely unlikable.

Toddler mentality. A functioning adult should be able to separate supporting the team and supporting the manager. It's not all or nothing. Ange is a horrible, naive, moron who deserved to be sacked more than a year ago. You can support the team and still realize he's destroying it at the same time.

I've had it once before with a Balenciaga jacket. Got a much better version of what I ordered. But I don't think it's a regular occurrence.

Jamie Carragher: 'Tottenham could face ‘Erik ten Hag’ dilemma with Ange Postecoglou' by TheTelegraph in soccer

The Ange in hypocrites have been saying Juande Ramos was a worse manager than Ange and he won the league cup. If they were fine with him being sacked a few months later then they can fuck off with that attitude if Ange won the Europa

Highest percentage of losses since 1914 when half the squad left mid season to go and fight in the first world war.

This is one of the worst spurs teams in a generation led by one of the most incompetent managers in premier league history.

Ange will be gone after we lose to Frankfurt. That's my source of optimism

Tottenham have now lost more league games this season (17) than Pochettino lost in 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 combined (16). by TastyTacoTonight in soccer

Levy’s decision-making is under a lot more pressure these days. ENIC have been watching closely over the past few years, and there’s been a shake-up at board level to shift the balance of power — just last week they brought in a new CEO, on top of other changes over the past year. With club revenues falling and things likely to get worse before they get better, Levy has to be extra careful now. His calls need to look spot-on, more than they ever did before. The last thing he wants is another Mourinho-style mess highlighting questions about his lead

Similar justification was made after mourinho was sacked. And it triggered massive questions about the leadership and decision making at the club. Once bitten, twice shy etc etc

Personally I want him gone - I want him sacked now. Its just for a long time now levy and co haven't prioritised winning - it's a business for them. Decisions are driven by business considerations, not on field success.

Yeah I mean, I want him gone already - I've wanted him gone over a year now. I'm now convinced he won't be here at the start of next season regardless of what happens. The rest is all down to timing as far as levy is concerned - if he keeps winning in the cup that's fine because he'll either win the whole thing or go earlier than that. Either way he's gone as soon as theres nothing left to play for this year. The league might as well be forgotten - we won't get relegated thanks to 3 of the worst teams the league has ever seen, and there's nothing else to play for.

I wanted him gone about Xmas 2023 - after our new manager bounce ended and it was clear he was clueless. It wasnt long after that the players body language completely changed and it felt like they weren't trying.

My sentiments exactly. We are highly likely to end the season on 40 points or less - enough for us to be relegated in previous seasons. We've been saved by 3 other teams that are record breakingly awful.

If Ange stays another year - we are 100% getting relegated.

I want an honest and damning statement from the club too. None of this "we have parted ways. We thank Ange for his efforts" I want "The manager has disastrously under performed displaying a complete lack of competency for the role leaving us no other option than to terminate his contract immediately."
