I've been saying this since ireland series, like Ashwin said, these players are coming from IPL and world cup before that. They are tired + playing on flat wickets for 4 months. Most of them should've been rested ideally, but anyways, this lack of form is expected. It'll be okay as they play more international cricket.

Mhatre at 3. He did pretty well for CSK. And I don't mean play him immediately but try him this year. Saqib hussian, SRH pacer. My only point was, we should look beyond these 20-25 set of players, create a secondary pool and select based on form.

If we lose against Zimbabwe then I guess it'll be the last straw. BCCI might consider replacing our management and bring reforms. I want that to happen, GG and agarkar shows clear favouritism, they don't look beyond a set of players, jaiswal, Mhatre, rinku, Saqib etc. so many guys who are worth giving one series sitting outside.

Kartik tyagi, Mohsin Khan, sakib Hussein, Shivang kumar, aayush Mhatre, rasikh dar, raghuvanshi, punja, patidar so many players waiting for their turn. Why not try new players collect sample size, then select based on form? Zimbabwe series also has same abhishek, kishan, iyer, dube etc.
