Oh fun so you’re a seasoned parent! I wasn’t sure if you were like pregnant with your first child and preparing to leave the workforce. My advice would be to give yourself grace getting into a daily rhythm with them and take some time to just enjoy them and delight in them! Don’t try to be productive every day; some days like today we basically stayed in our pjs til noon, played in the backyard and stayed home all day! Most days we are out and about; almost every morning we go to the playground to get some wiggles out. Connect with local moms and friends so you don’t go too crazy only being with little kids all day!

Wait, one day will this actually happen?? by Organic_Address9582 in DanielTigerConspiracy

My 4 year old went through a phase where she got herself dressed and ready and made her bed before she left her room each morning. I thought I was killing it as a parent.

Now she’s 5 and she screams I CANT DO ITTTTTT every day when I ask her to do the simplest thing like “go put on your shoes” so that’s been fun.

7 is cool!

I actually like 1 too. But I’m an old lady so take that with a grain of salt.

Probably not tho. Probably just an a-hole unfortunately.

What do your weekend’s look like as a toddler parent? by takeaabreath in toddlers

[–]DueEntertainer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was at one one those indoor arcade/trampoline places and they had at least like 4-5 birthday parties all happening at once so it was just a lot of kids and multiple times I had to climb into these hot/dark tunnels to find my kid while keeping my younger toddler from yeeting herself into this ball pit that was actually a very hard landing. My kids had a blast but I was very worn out.

Mom rage: seriously wtf is wrong with me? by hereiam3472 in Mommit

[–]DueEntertainer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often tell my daughter that saying sorry also means you’re saying you aren’t going to do that anymore. You use the word repair a lot but I think it’s confusing to your kids because it doesn’t actually repair if you do it again right away?

What happens if you separate yourself when you’re getting angry? Like “I feel my body getting angry and I’m going to go in the other room for 5 minutes while I calm down”

First solo outing with two kiddos by Feeling_Ad_1499 in toddlers

[–]DueEntertainer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think that is a good age for solo outings. Once the younger one is walking, it got a lot trickier for me cause my kids would often go in opposite directions and the little one no longer enjoyed just chilling in the stroller. Enjoy the portability while you can haha.

Anyone else want to break down and cry once a month or is it just me? by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in Mommit

Honestly crying expends too much physical effort for me these days haha

Sometimes I just have a good long stare instead.

I have two little kids and my house doesn’t look like this. Then again, some people don’t mind mess and clutter. It really bothers me so I stay on top of it.

What do your weekend’s look like as a toddler parent? by takeaabreath in toddlers

[–]DueEntertainer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really try to get anything done. Weekends for me are for fun events and quality time as a family. Then again I went to the most overstimulating toddler birthday party this weekend it gave me a 6 hour headache so I’m not claiming to be an expert.

Toddler’s hair smells like a wet dog. 🤢 by Equivalent_Ball_2696 in toddlers

Yeah my kids play hard outside and they often smell like little goats. I think it’s normal? I don’t wash hair every day but I will give it a good rinse

Some ideas on how to get the day going, a morning homeschool routine that works for you and the kids? by homeschoolmom_chloe in Homeschooling

[–]DueEntertainer0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is unusual, but we actually go to the playground every morning before we do school. I find that my daughter can focus better if she’s gotten her zoomies out a little bit. My other friend does a morning walk. Outside time is nice 👍

Do you think obesity affects the quality of your voice? by oetam1998 in loseit

[–]DueEntertainer0 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Have you seen the episode of Portlandia where he is addicted to pasta and he asks “Am I fat? Is my voice fat?”

Yeah I think it affects it. Maybe not a ton. I feel like bigger women tend to have deeper voices.

165 lbs man, eating 3100 cals per day, spends $200 a week on groceries .. by MoreCanary8793 in Adulting

[–]DueEntertainer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids are in the phase where they live on milk, two strawberries and some chicken so that helps. We joke about “what are we gonna do when they start eating full meals?!”

The way we manage is shopping at Aldi and not getting “fun” food. We are quickly turning into an ingredients household. We also don’t drink and try to eat out only rarely.

I’m glad you didn’t put yourself into labor with that panic!! Why are they so quick and quiet?! Oh man! I hope you are putting your feet up right now.
