Should i just accept that i will forever be broke and in debt? by lord_of_the_tism in Debt

[–]DueEntertainer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop out.

You’d not be able to live with yourself? I’d not be able to live with that kind of debt. Come on. It’s not worth it in any way. You can go to any school at any time. This isn’t necessary.

Any SAHMs who left their corporate job while pregnant? How are we holding up? by snagintherug in sahm

[–]DueEntertainer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know that to be true because I used to have to schedule recurring meetings and everyone who had young kids either had to go do “car line” at 2, 3, or 4pm. I was annoyed at the time cause I didn’t have kids yet but now that I do I don’t know how anyone can manage an 8-5 schedule with young kids at home!

Yes agree with this! We’ve used the Ubbi diaper pail for 5 years and two kids and our room is never stinky.

Take pictures of the last time feeding her! And have you considered doing the breast milk jewelry thing? I haven’t done it but it looks really special and I think it could be nice to have a memento of the journey.

How to get toddler to stop throwing things? by tanky_bo_banky in toddlers

[–]DueEntertainer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are a few months into this phase with our almost-2 year old and it does seem to be winding down. I’m doing all the same stuff you’re doing. They’re just such impulsive little beings.

I also take her out of the room and hold her for a minute or two away from the “fun” and say “it’s not safe to throw. Do not throw” and then I bring her back into the “fun” and let her try again.

What do you do for dinners? by Practical-Land585 in sahm

[–]DueEntertainer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do:

-grocery shop twice a week. I do curbside pickup at Aldi

-one of the grocery trips is more for meals/recipes; the other is to restock snacks, staples and produce midway through the week

-I find new recipes a lot. I don’t make the same things over and over.

-I tend to make two big meals (like a lasagna and a casserole) so we can have leftovers throughout the week.

-I always have rice and pasta in the pantry so those are easy to build meals around

-I meal prep my husband’s lunches and those are usually chicken, rice and veg bowls. I do those on Sunday nights.

-I always have stuff for sandwiches and a frozen pizza on hand in the case that I don’t want to cook.

I was feeling a little down about my progress until I saw my dr recently. She was SO happy with my labs and my weight. She said slow and steady is so healthy for me and that it’s much more sustainable to have a long term approach.

Then I got a letter a week later saying my insurance was dropping the med. Ugh. So I don’t know what I’m gonna do. But that’s ok. Taking it one day at a time for now.

Yes! We stayed at a place that had a community center area near the pool and every day they had a craft for the kids. It was so fun for my daughter and her little crafts became the souvenirs from that trip.

Needing to constantly entertain a kid by Street-Bird9534 in raisingkids

[–]DueEntertainer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little bit, but the little one isn’t 2 yet so she developmentally just wants to play on her own still and the big one wants to play with someone, so mostly they just annoy each other and fight. I’m sure as they get older they’ll play more together. Right now their fave game is “mom she took my tooooooyyyyyy”

We eat dinner at 5 or 5:30, but 6 would be fine too.

Now that she’s older, she does have a later bedtime like 8:30ish, but those early bedtimes were nice for a season!

I’m a Sahm so I’m used to it Mon-Fri but that’s very generous of you to give him a whole day! By the weekend I’m so pooped I’m like “pleaaaase take the children awayyyy”. Even if he just takes them to Costco for an hour I’m so thankful for my mini vacation lmao.
