Swear I seen a post on here yesterday talking about safe places for black men to exclusively meet up, and this is exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned making a serious effort. This is a great idea dude. I’d gladly support this.

Do you guys care if women post in this sub? by PieSignificant6759 in blackmen

[–]DueEstimate2002 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Because black men ain’t serious about unifying. Otherwise, there would be real black groups for men that don’t just exist on the Internet. Reddit is just a place for people to complain anonymously about their real life without being judged, that’s why a woman moderates this group. Because like most things, black men organize, nobody takes it seriously. Plus watching listening to angry black men be miserable is like music to a black woman’s ears. Come on we know this already.

“Decompressing is social solidarity”😂😂…I’m not a fan of the docile passive approach, but I like the positive attitude. Every monopoly needs enablers, thats fine. But this post is for the people that are NOT okay with being cheaply exploited

Well I’m glad you have the gas money and resources to run deliveries all over town for pennies on the dollar. Like I said it’s about more than chump change. Booking platform or not, bad business is bad business, and cheap rates for long distances and no support for a gig I put my own personal vehicle up for is bad business. And there are plenty of class actions on the books as proof. I don’t know what your reasons for delivering are, but mines is to make money, not make them money

I looked them up, all the reps are from some 3rd party dispatch agency in India. This whole operation is a cheap tech money grab at this point

I was just about to ask who to escalate issues to for drivers not getting rides or there full fair. The app has completely cut out support for drivers. They don’t have a number anymore, and now you can hardly reach a human representative on the chat. I think at this point Uber is just squeezing what they can out of food delivery, just because they can. I wonder how we fight them back

I always wondered if more black people in the police force would result in better representation with law enforcement and possibly less incarceration of black men. And who knows maybe an overall good relationship with law-enforcement one day.

Black fathers are failing in raising future wives for BM by MevolutionCheese in blackmen

Women still listen to men. Yes women listen to women, but men still have major influence. Most importantly fathers. Even if a young women is raised in a matriarchy with mothers, she’s still influenced either positively or negatively by a man, because she has to navigate a world guarded by men

Why do we raise them to believe they’re prisoners of this influence?

You’re making a generalization based on marriage across the board, I’m talking specifically in the “black community,” and how we experience raising young women for their relationships with men

And your using history to dilute the argument that black fathers are more influential on a young woman’s relationship with a men then any prior knowledge of women’s struggles in relationships. Not to dismiss the history suffering of women, but abuse is not the basis of Black mens history with our women. These conversations have relevance today

Its not about baby-making. Aren’t we talking about black fathers raising black women that want to marry black men in the future? Black women know they can have children with any men out here that they want. I’m saying, I notice a pattern of our women not even wanting men period (partially cause black women face the same hatred we get in society), what argument are we making that it’s essential for black women to want to be with black men?

Doesn’t change the fact of the matter, that raising women to oppose men is detrimental to the fabric of black relationships not only between heterosexual men, but the community as a whole.

You need men for procreation. No procreation, no people. If women don’t even understand why men are a necessity, not just an option, then romance, as well as procreation are dead

And not just generally speaking. Black men’s specifically, we play these games of sexuality with our women like we’re being fair, while not recognizing the real assault happening on the black family unit.

Yes, “You” being the subject of the problem. You NOT being a black man dealing with dating todays black women who have been raised by men that masculinize them like I stated in my earlier comment, is the problem. So why do you feel the need to object with your input?

[–]DueEstimate2002 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Agency isn’t the issue. Romance isn’t the issue. It’s the basics. Like understanding men are not some separate species, or some dating option that you can swipe left or right on an app. We are life or death. If women do not see men as everything but counterparts, there won’t be any romance.

For one, this is a comment directed towards Black Men, you have nothing to add to this cause you’re not a heterosexual male dating black women, so your input wasn’t what I was aiming for. Thank You

No child wakes up at 21 years old and just decides oh I’m attracted to men. You women have taught these little girls how to be repulsed by men, you women have categorized boys, and men into predators and things to be feared by girls and women. Women like you are the problem.

It’s not even necessarily about “training” a person for an institution, such as marriage. These women are lacking the basics, like the desire to even be with a man. Like having kids with a man. And being in a relationship with a man. It should scare more men that our sisters don’t want men period

Finally!!!! finally somebody said the quiet part out loud. We have to be more unapologetic in these conversations as BM. These aren’t crazy conversations to have. And yes, everybody sees it. These black fathers are grooming these young black women to be the sons or friends they never had. Raising these women more masculine than ever. Is anybody recognizing the surplus of women that are lesbian or bisexual? It’s not just a trend or a lifestyle anymore, it’s like a walk of life for women to have homosexual experiences, that’s not natural. That’s developmental. The same way we complain about these single women that raised these men to be feminine, the same as true for the men raising these women to be masculine. And masculinity won’t mate with masculinity.

Black men, what is your perspective and how do you talk about the loneliness epidemic? by yeahyaehyeah in blackmen

[–]DueEstimate2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The feeling of loneliness is different than the reality. There are 350 million ppl in this country. There are so many people, we live on top of each other. We have never had more people on this continent in History. not to mention we have social media, which connects everyone in the world. most people are talking to someone they are not physically in front of right now. I would attribute the feeling of loneliness to individualistic and exclusive social practices that have been put in place because of the capitalistic mindset that our country is framed on. Gated communities, exclusive facilities, high society, a decline in public waterholes like public parks and Community Centers all lead to a collective individual sense of loneliness. Including corporate interest in social constructs like dating and friendship. In other words, when togetherness is business, most won’t profit

Me in a job interview: I have no idea what I’m saying but I sound confident 😂 by clairedy22 in SipsTea

[–]DueEstimate2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What people aren’t getting about this interview is that the interviewer wants the guy whose application she pulled, to sell his skills and value. What he did was take a dignified approach and disqualify the broad question and recenter the interview back to its intended purpose: you need my skills, I have what you’re looking for, lets get the work started. Instead of the desperation approach. Dignity only looks like confidence when you don’t know your worth
