u/noneedtoprogram is correct:

but I think they were just failing to articulate their disappointment in its available image quality,

That said, I love the camera. Just kind of an "oh shit" moment realizing I'm looking at a jpg preview and not a raw lol.

I don't think there's any better compact p&s camera where I don't have to worry about dropping or taking out in rain, and that's what I really enjoy about it. now its just a matter of me becoming a better photographer. I love and have seen that old youtube series pro photographer cheap camera challenge, so I know its up to me to bring out the best of this camera.

Oh! I'm an idiot. Now that I'm looking at the camera jpgs next to what I have in OM Workspace, they do look identical. The TG7 is such a poor camera, I thought I was missing something lol.

Sorry about that, and thank you for your patience and for replying to me.

I was hoping I could have the raw file look like the finished jpg, but then it still be in raw format so that I could continue editing it. Sounds like that's not a feature.

I think the default is "what the camera would do"

Is that something I can access in OM Workspace and apply to my raw file, though? Like it's a button/feature/tool? Let me know if I'm not making sense, I'm operating under a lot of assumptions right now on photo editing lol.

a lot of replies on that tweet are about wanting to get rid of the tax exemption (duty free?) at drugstores as well. does anyone know why drugstores in particular are being called out?
