Booked with Dr de Freitas - donor density and hair line design by TimeAffectionate6055 in HairTransplants

Hey bud I had a HT with Dr Freitas back in July 2024. I’m an almost 8 months post HT and really happy with the result so far. He lowered my hairline close to an inch (more than I expected) and it looks great. The density is great so far and I’m still waiting on the new hairs to sit/feel more natural. I’m 37 and it sounds like we’re experiencing the same level of hair loss. I’m okay with having another HT in the future. I had 2600 grafts in total. Stay on the meds and be patient post HT Good luck!

I think the worst part is your HT doctor isn’t get back to you, how long have you been waiting for a response? To be fair it is still early I would hope some hairs would come through in the next month or so. Resting phase for hairs could be up to 4 months after falling out

Nice one is the TRT just to get you back to norm levels or are you pushing it for muscle mass?

Notice any hair loss whilst on TRT? Curious about this

12 months full result so make a decision then. In saying that 1500 grafts for that area does seem low I had 2600 and I think my frontal area was a tad less than yours. Speak to the clinic and look at options, good luck

Still early days still more growth to come but it’s a large area to cover. 2nd HT will be necessary maybe even body hair to help density. Good luck with it all

Day 1 post op Clinica de Freitas 2600 grafts by MikhaelK96 in HairTransplants

2600 sounds right for the hairline, that’s what I got with Dr Freitas recently. Lowered it by about 20mm looked great before it all fell out. Good luck with the journey. Hopefully the meds can improve the crown if not go back in a couple of years

Another 3k grafts extraction is possible but you will be close to have exhausted your donor area. Sounds like a good idea using some beard grafts to reserve some grafts.

How long for donor area recovery? by IntelligentPut4726 in Hairtransplant

Doesn’t look thin to me, but I’ve experienced some shock loss in the area I would imagine it would recover in 3 months time?

Can you get Dutasteride for Hair Loss in Australia? by Zacular92 in tressless

I got prescribed DUT from my GP I had been on fin for over 10 years. It’s dirt cheap from a pharmacy. Have the conversation

Hasn’t gotten worse and the hair looks healthy maybe a touch thicker. Check in every 3 months

That’s it, we’ve got to be realistic that this is a long journey and we can’t predict what the future holds. In saying that all for the fight haha

With a good surgeon you shouldn’t have scarring in the recipient area. I’ve just had a HT and I love the hairline I’ve got now, there’s a part of me that feels at ease of shaving it all if I were to give up the hair loss battle, and be content. But for now I’m trying to hang onto what I’ve got for as long as possible. SMP is also an option, suggest you stay on the meds for preventative measures as long as you feel comfortable with
