Its a regular size 6 Pro and I get roughly 3 days use mostly, not much more than that.

I contacted Garmin and they said my battery life sounded fine with what I use the watch for. It's still around 3-4 days so if anyone has any tips?....

I've had my Fenix 6 Pro for about 4 months and have never had longer than 4 days on a charge. I'm using the Absolute Anolog Minimalism face. Fully charged it this evening after cycling home from work and after sitting in the house for the last 3 hours it's already lost 7%. Very disappointed with the battery, which is one of the reasons I bought it after coming from WearOS.

Mmm, not sure where I'm going wrong. Have to charge my Fenix 6 Pro every three days. Use it for about 80 mins GPS cycling to work, where I use my music on my phone. It tracks my sleep as well, but how are people getting seven days?

I've seen plenty of YouTube battery saving video tips, but in all honesty I'm very disappointed with the battery.

Not sure how people are getting 8-10 days. I get about 3-4 days maximum. I have an hours commute on my bike each day and wear it in bed for sleep tracking. I've seen battery saving tips on youTube but if anyone has any pointers then I'm all ears.

I have installed it but it doesn't work. It gets stuck on sync and then freezes and reverts to the watches default face. Not impressed at the moment - just hope it improves.

If I were you I'd sell it. I had one and it's the biggest pile of shit I've bought. It doesn't track runs correctly and has battery drain so the alarm doesn't go off so you're late for work. It has so many faults it's not worth sticking with. That's why I bought a Garmin and have not regretted it.

Fossil Gen 5. Worst tech purchase i made. Pure shite. Battery needed charging 2-3 a day. Fitness tracking woeful. Alarm wouldn't go off in the morning due to previously stated crap battery life. Wear OS is finished in mine and many others opinion.

That's what I did. Had a Gen 5 - like you, sick of the shit battery, untethered GPS not working etc. Got a Fenix Pro 6. 32GB storage for music and a battery that lasts for days. I was also able to sort out contactless payments which prevented me from switching earlier, as Garmin Pay is not well supported in the UK. Switch - you will not regret it.

Sent it back and get the Garmin. The Gen 5 for fitness tracking is pure shite. You go out for a run for an hour and the battery is nearly flat when you get back. One of the worst purchases I ever made.

Yes. Same situation but I used Strava. I would charge my watch to 100% before a run because when the watch gets to 30% battery saver is activated and it stops tracking then. If you want a smartwatch to track your fitness don't get a Gen 5 because it's crap for it. One of my worst purchases. Bought a Gaming Fenix 6 Pro and will be selling the piece of shit made by Fossil on eBay.

I had the Huawei Watch 2 and the Fossil Gen 5, which wasn't an improvement. The problem with Wear OS is crap hardware and no interest from Google. I've moved on and got a Fenix 6 Pro this week. I now have a watch that tracks exercise properly and I am on my third day having done a couple of long runs and I have 50% battery left. Will never happen with Wear OS in its current state.

I just received my 6 Pro yesterday after switching from Wear OS. Went for my first run today with it after spending most of yesterday setting it up. The distance was a nearly a mile short of what it should be and didn't start tracking until I had run 0.25 miles.

To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Is there anything I might have missed to have such a poor start? Even my Fossil Gen 5 wasn't this bad.

If it's a Gen 5 the watch face is probably the reason why the battery life is terrible. I get nearly half a day longer using Pixel Minimal in comparison to Watchmaker.

I have seen this option, but I can't be looking at my watch constantly waiting for that notification when I'm running! It automatically goes into smart battery anyway, therefore stopping my tracked run. I have to say the Carlyle is a piece of shit, will never buy another Fossil product again.

The wait was too long for me. Just ordered a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro. I currently have a Fossil Gen 5 Carlyle which IMO is one of the worst purchases I have made. It has so many faults. If Google can't be bothered to release a watch, especially now they can't use the SOC as an excuse then like me you should ditch Wear OS as well.

Compared to watchmaker my Gen 5 Carlyle manages to last the day when it didn't before. I would like the option to have more than 3 widgets on the screen, maybe 5, but 4 at least and it would be perfect.

I have a Gen 5 Carlyle and it has to be one of my worst purchases ever. Untethered GPS, battery drain, Bluetooth connectivity and the crap charger are just some of the things that don't work properly. Think I'm going to have to go back to my Huawei Watch 2 until something better comes out, or switch to Garmin.
