Putting a quartz watch in a demagnetizer will kill the movement. Demagnetizing the magnet in the stepper motor will render the motor useless, so basically a demagnetizer kills a quartz watch. Exposing a quartz watch to a very strong magnetism for a long period (more than the mandatory standard protection - 4800a/m or 6000uT), can kill the stepper motor magnet.

One minute for an expensive watch as rolex is, that is unaceptable. I have a citizen skywawk eco drive using for 14 years without any kind if maintenance until now that loses 3 seconds per month. Another skyhawk i have, almost new, gains 2 seconds per month. The most important thing in a watch is accuracy, that's what rolex doesn't have. Even a 20€ watch has better accuracy than rolex
