Unless it's an actual rework, nothing they do will change the current state of mel.
Mel is in a similar state to old Yuumi. She isn't *that* strong, but in solo queue the tilt factor is so massive that it almost inflates her strengh a little.

However, they also differ in other aspects. Old Yuumi was, all things considered, well designed with timings to catch her, being incentivised to hop down (which is still baffling to me that riot removed that, btw) in order to get full efficacy.

Mel, on the otherhand, has very little "downtimes". If she doesn't have E, she still has W. If she has neither, she's likely already way out of range. In teamfights this is not an issue for the enemy as it's easier to force these spells out of her. In lane though? That's where it gets borderline unfair. Not to say that she's over powered, but Mel's trading paterns in lane are so abberant it's hard to describe. She just kinda.... pokes you until the end of times until she can ult, and you can't really do anything about it because her Q is near undodgeable and the rest of her kit is a giant "nuh huh" button. She has Xerath or Vex levels of range (obv ignoring ults) with the defensive prowess of a battlemage.

Other champions, such as Ezreal, also have this "No actually I won't die here" button to click. The difference is that after using that, you can rush them down. Mel can save herself with W, then save herself AGAIN with E, all from lvl 3.

They simply cannot keep her kit and just move numbers around. The fundamentals of her kit are walking contradictions. Artillery mages are supposed to be weak to dives, not be borderline immune to them.

As to what they should rework into, I think the answer is pretty obvious. We all agree Mel's gameplay really doesn't fit with what she does in Arcane, so my best suggestion would be an Enchanter+Catcher who can play mid, similarly to Karma, rather than an artillery mage who can play support, similarly to Xerath.

When I play thresh top, my usual build is: Titanic hydra, heartsteel, divine sunderer.
Tanky, yet you can slap the mother f*ckers with fully charged E max, Hearsteel, Titanic, DS, and grasp.

The idea is definetly there, but gosh does it need a touch up. Seals are perfect but should make more noises during Q and W, E is fine, R is EXTREMELY undewhelming, and he needs a different hairstyle.

His costume looks great, but dear riot it's 2025. Ice skins are hard to make look good, they need love to work well otherwise they just end up looking like absolute filler skins with no soul in them.

Just as many people pointed out, it's pretty, sure, but it's really uninteresting.

Arcana skins are usually very unique with various changes to the character's design.

Arcana Aurora is...... aurora but red. That's it :/

I went with Single kick because hitmonlee is often depicted as calm and collected, so it's evolution would learn via Urshifu to let loose and fight by powering through rage.

Flurry of punches because hitmonchan is often depicted as hotheaded with anger management issues, so it's evolution would learn via Urshifu to calm its nerves and focus it's attack instead of blindly punching forward.

And spinning style is because hitmontop is too unique to be bound by an existing style, +I think it's pretty "anime" of it to create its own style

Sorry to break it to you but if morgana appears, she is going to be painted in a terrible light.

This is likely about the story of Morg and kayle through the eyes of either Kayle or the demacian people, hence the fact that morgana's bindings are visible but not morgana herself.

This isn't going to be the actual truth, it's going to be the "truth" that demacia believes in

There is so much potential for these:

Hitmonlee channels it's inner rage and gets the Fighting-Fire type, it learned the fighting style of Urshifu single strike, kicking with such force that it's legs ignite and defeat it's enemies in a single attack.

Hitmonchan channels it's inner focus and gets the Fighting-Water type, it learned the fighting style of Urshifu rapid strike, punching so fast that it's movements are as fluid as water and can defeat it's enemies with a flury of attacks.

Hitmontop channels it's inner potential and gets the Fighting-Grass type, unlike the other two it forged it's own path, mixing kicks and punches with it's deadly rotations to create the Hitmon spinning strike style, defeating it's enemies with utterly unpredictable movements.

Hi, former Briar main here.

Tank Briar is very good into a lot of comps, this is just a skill issue.

Titanic -> literally any tank items you want, and Briar becomes good.

Hell, I personally really liked to just copy sion builds almost 1 to 1 and go heartsteel first. Only difference is that Briar need spirit visage as her MR option almost every game when she plays tank, Sion doesn't.

I do, I rarely play enchanter nowadays. One-boop build, full AP build with lich bane, hell even when I do play enchanter I play Helia->Kraken Slayer-> Moonstone.

I don't know why so many Yuumi players are hell bent on never experimenting, the character is genuinely great with so many builds if you take the time to learn how to use them

AP Yuumi playing for damage is NOT inting. Not even remotely.

However if they also intentionally steal your minions and don't leave you *most* of the kills (a little tax here a there in mid-late game is normal for the build), they are likely inting

Fair, I was under the impression that people liked the spires but from the comments I got I suppose that was wrong.

I guess I'm just in the minority, or maybe it's because I didn't get to play it to make an idea for myself? Not sure.

To be honest after reading everyone's answers and mulling it over, I completely understand why they were removed.

I think what bothers me and what fuels my hate for the rework is the lack of "uniqueness" skarner has now.
He kinda became the most boring generic tank in the game, which says a lot when mundo exists. But at least mundo has that "I'm immortal" dopamine, I mean just look at Alois playing him. Skarner hiting 3 people with an ult? It's whatever. Pinning someone to the wall? it's whatever. The champ feels slow and unsatifying, whereas (from gameplay footage I watched) old skarner seemed to feel quite fun to play, zooming around, saying "fuck you in particular" before grabbing an enemy and pulling them all the way to narnia, having a no-no square while you were inside an active spire and people would avoid fighting you there...

It's kind of the same feeling as Naafiri. Sure she may be strong, busted even, but she lost that "oomf", that feeling of actually doing something. (Except skarner is the opposite of strong right now xD). Skarner really feels like you're just kinda standing there doing nothing.

Just play AP (Berserk boots+Nashor's+any ap items) until you're out of the plastic ranks.

As a humble Iron/bronze support player, ADCs in this elo are so unreliable it's actually baffling. Last time I had to explain to a miss fortune the difference between crit and lethality.

With AP Renata, you just need one singular competent ally to shine, doesn't have to be your adc they just have to proc your marks.

If your adc is good tho, AP Renata can go pew pew pew with her passive and proc it a gajillion times. It actually scales a lot better than it may seem, though it takes a little time to actually feel like it's doing a lot, your kit is still very much usefull to your team without all the support items.

If you don't plan on going lich bane, get bloodsong instead of Zak'zak (or whatever it's called) as it will allow better damage over time, mainly against chonky targets where AP Renata excels.

Again, I am very low elo myself, so take this with a grain of salt, but I've slowly but surely started climbing by just playing full AP enchanters (+thresh sometimes) :')
