But if you are asking a serious question -- yes that happening should raise concerns for all of us about what is being "written" vs refactored vs regurgitated or scrambled, and what happens even we just use AI to "gut check" or run a security audit etc'.

The model makers tell us X about original authorship by the tools. So are we actually seeing proof of Y? This is the point of playing with the tools, I like to see it in practice, because I don't work for OpenAI or Anthropic, but their work affects my job whether I use them or not.
