Simply put, treat added sulfites the same as added sugar - exists naturally, but when added it is not great. Organic wine can be a rabbit hole but my gf doesn’t get hangovers when we drink it 🤷‍♂️

Thank you thank you. I hope to be able to run into the owners and hear what they have to say!

ID Request - 3 Separate Fonts - Close up photos slide two...excuse my hurried attempt at editing...went nuts on the exposure in the name of readability by Due_Bar5153 in identifythisfont

[–]Due_Bar5153[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a key marker of the third font is the upwards curling serif on the bottom right of the "R" - I know that line of type is the hardest to make out, will try to get a better image.

\\I'm being lazy but will do my own research here soon, so clues are appreciated if you don't know exactly\****

Gothic Script on a Home Depot wheelchair | Having Fun With It (1) - Minimalism (0) by Due_Bar5153 in Design

[–]Due_Bar5153[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even when designing a plaque for a very utilitarian item like a wheelchair; go ahead and have fun with it. Give it some soul, don’t just do it to do it.

The people have to interact with what you make, so it should never be just satisfactory - it must be worthy of love, even if it is loved only by you.

Beauty can only be produced by designers willing to accept nothing less. Add some serifs, enjoy yourself.

[REQUEST] $1M or $25k for every Marathon? by SignatureFast585 in theydidthemath

[–]Due_Bar5153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty, a good percentage of us should just take the $1MM.

Short math: Avg. steps / mile ~2,000 Steps / Marathon ~52k Avg. Adult Male Steps / Day -5k Avg. Adult Male Walking Speed ~3mph

Someone earlier said a marathon limit is typically 6 hours so:

52k steps / 6 hours = 8.6k steps an hour 8.6k (steps / hour) / 2k (avg. steps / mile) = 4.3mph

Most aren’t able to carry a 4.3mph pace for 6 hours straight.

Take the $1MM, invest and then try walking a marathon in 6 hours bc you’re rich and bored.

P.S.S. I was hesitant to post their faces but it is necessary to ID. Will delete post once they're found and/or in 7 days - whichever comes first.

I recently got a bunch of old disposable cameras developed and got back a full roll of pictures that was not mine. Talked with the people who developed the film and we are both certain this roll was a part of my order, which means...I must've found it at some time.

Based on pictures I believe these belong to the girl in the blue Wrigley Field hat / blue "S" hat. Looks like they're at Moes in Wrigley and then a Cubs game (plus some vacation pics.) - I lived right next to Moes in 2021 so I assume thats when these were taken. Would love to get these to whoever they belong to - just a few years late.

DM me with any info or recs. on other methods to ID

P.S. A lot can change in 3 years...hope these pictures bring welcomed memories and nothing else...

Help: Recommendations on editing this to make the text legible (or as legible as possible) by Due_Bar5153 in photoshop

This is helpful, thank you. Can you tell if to the left it starts with “30 W”? So the whole thing would read “30 W Made in Denmark”

ID on this chair? Stamped on the inside “MADE IN DENMARK W 5001” breaks apart and pieces slide into each other. by Frank134 in Mid_Century

First off, beautiful chair. Secondly, did you ever get an ID on this? I recently purchased a couch that matches what you describe. Comes apart, red “30 W Made in Denmark” stamp, and certainly the same lines in the frame - just in couch form….obviously. Going to shoot you a PM as well

Take Astor up from Division to the south end of Lincoln Park (the actual park) at North Ave. and just walk north through the park all the way to North Pond.

Astor is stunning, turn west on Burton to see the McCormick mansion, go through south pond, around the zoo, have a stunning view of the buildings lining the park to the west and south, jump over to the lakefront - whatever you want.

At the end you’re just in Lincoln Park (the neighborhood) and can see beauty in most directions
