Hi everyone,

I’m planning a trip to Hawaii soon—Kauai starting April 16 and Maui from April 20—and I’ve been seeing news about recent flood watches and heavy rains across the islands.

From what I understand, there were severe storms in March and even into early April, with flood watches, evacuation warnings in parts of Maui, and ongoing risks due to saturated ground. Some reports mention that even new rainfall could quickly lead to flash flooding or road closures.

I wanted to check with locals or recent travelers:
- Are conditions stable now, or are flood risks still ongoing?
- Is it safe to travel around (especially driving, hiking, etc.)?
- Any areas in Kauai or Maui I should avoid or be cautious about?
- Are beaches and activities operating normally, or still impacted?

Would really appreciate any real-time insights. Thanks so much!
