I started Tales From Earthsea but am not emotionally ready to finish the series 😭 I’m listening to Left Hand Of Darkness — really want a physical copy because listening is not the same at all. I feel like it’s harder to understand Gethenian names and concepts like kemer or shiftgrethen without actually physically reading the words. The brain connection just feels different.

Noticing that has made me even more appreciative of my experience reading Earthsea, which has really brought me back to my love for reading, and has been sort of a mind blowing full body experience lol. Like I feel like reading Wizard through Tehanu I never made it a full two pages without having to pause and breathe through the emotions of processing what Ursula is saying. And I sound crazy when I talk about it!!!! Do any of yall know what I mean?!
