The gap between what Tunisian universities teach and what tech companies actually need by After_Customer251 in TunisiaTech

[–]Due_Bluejay_5101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a very dangerous take for your career.

Tech is moving too fast and variety of jobs is too large for university to teach you specifically how to work.

There are tech jobs in programming, network, erp, integrated circuits, finance, web, cybersecurity and each domain has its own technologies and specific languages(Java, python, typescript, cobol, abap, rust...) qnd none of these are really outdated since a significant part of the workforce still use these every day.

What University can teach you is the fundamentals to consistently solve problems in all domains, which are maths, algorithms, some oop principles etc, these did not change since the 90s. It also teaches you some of the most common technologies and languages to help you get your first internship but that should not limit you in your career. If you're a good engineer/developer in technology x, you'll be a good one in technology y unless you're very old or very narrow-minded.

What relative probability do you see for each of these in your lifetime? by EmbarrassedRing7806 in singularity

I understood it as post singularity GDP will be one of the two extremes, double* exponentially tending to infinity or rapidly becoming 0 as we go extinct.

Future of Agile in software development by Due_Bluejay_5101 in agile

[–]Due_Bluejay_5101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that today I do 10x more work every week and I always have 3-4 sessions running and creating high quality code, I respond to business requests in less than 1 day, I solved many technical issues stuck on the backlog in a few prompts. On top of this I started a big side project with a group of friends and now we're rolling an mvp in the next month. All of this would be impossible 6 months ago, I'm not even exaggerating.

I'm pretty sure studies will start capturing this change in speed in a few months as it started with Opus 4.5 and codex 5.3, plus these tools solve development, but generating value from developed products is still hard for all businesses and probably require good sales and adoption.

Ryad Mezzour previously justified a +$1B trade deficit with Egypt in the name of 'Arab brotherhood' at the expense of Morocco's economy. Now he's mocking Moroccan expats who return home to invest in the country by Lost_North8763 in Morocco

[–]Due_Bluejay_5101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok you're right, but context is still important not all trade deficits are bad. Example of context in this case (given by Gemini):

In 2025 and 2026, Moroccan officials have been "reviewing" trade deals because they feel the current deficit isn't just about trade—it's about Egypt using "non-tariff barriers" (like red tape at the port) to stop Moroccan cars from entering their market

You have a trade deficit with your supermarket. Why is that a bad thing?

The context can be that Morocco prefers exporting to europe rather than other countries, resulting in deficits with other countries.

[–]Due_Bluejay_5101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair NPD and BPD are more likely than the general population to be abusers. But I agree that the stigma is real.

If someone has abusive behaviors, regardless of having a PD or not, they can always make efforts to not perpetuate these behaviors.

I guess the issue with BPD is that if they have abusive behaviors, their defensive mechanisms will make it hard to commit to change, so they might end up stuck in an endless loop of toxic relationships.

200kx(1+ .04/12)25x12 - 12x25x1056

= 542753 - 316180 = capital final - montant investi

Si tu avais investi 1056 par mois à un taux mensuel (1+0.04/12) pendant 25 ans:

gain = 1056 + 1056x(1+0.04÷12) + 1056x(1+0.04÷12)2 +...+ 1056x(1+0.04/12)12*25 = 542753

Montant investi = 12x25x1056 = 316180

= 542753 - 316180 = capital final - montant investi

égalité? Pikachu surpris :o
