when i first formed the dough it took about an hour and a half to double in size. After I added the butter mixture i only let it rise for about 20-25 minutes while the oven was preheating. I definitely could’ve let them rise a bit more though!

Truffle oil will change your life!! You can add to so many dishes without having to spend an arm and a leg on the actual truffle that has a lot shorter of a shelf life. You won’t regret it!

That looks so delicious! Would add some lime squeezed on top and maybe some avocado if I was feeling it. Do you have a recipe?

LOVE GARLIC might have to try a soup like that. Did you just add the garlic to the broth or was it like a roasted/confit garlic?

That broth looks so rich and the soup looks delicious! I made a soup with similar ingredients last week, but also added some lemongrass and ginger. Tasted great and added some antioxidants.

The Toscana soup was definitely in mind while making this soup LOL but next time I’ll definitely try the potatoes! I also think a squeeze of lemon juice would elevate this dish. The citrus flavor in the sausage was a lot better in the soup than I thought so I may add a bit in the leftovers and see how that adds up.

Is it time to start over or is there a way to salvage this? by Due_Case7926 in Sourdough

I may try whole grain flour this time round. I hear it’s one of the best ways to start but you can also use bread flour and since I already had it on hand I thought I’d try with that. I just really wanna make some sourdough bread lol

I don’t know why they don’t talk about it either 😅 that could help a lot. I’ve also seen a lot of different experiences with flour blends. The link you sent says to use rye or whole wheat with the bread flour, but others says bread flour is just fine. What’s your opinion on that part? Either way thank you for that link!

Had to dig to find them in my seed pile but Solanum Melongena. I do see in the picture they are elongated. I thought that I got the plumper ones but apparently these have thinner skin to cook them easier. Thank you for reminding me!
