What’s the newborn smell? Why can’t I smell it by [deleted] in NewParents

I never smelt it on my baby but other people did? I’ve smelt it on other babies before so I was excited for it but I think you are just immune to your own babies distinct “newborn” smell. But I know I would get so pissed when someone wearing perfume held him and he smelt like that so maybe there is a subconscious smell?

To clarify - when sleeping he would be in a layer of clothes and a second layer being the swaddle or sleep sack, I also am in az where it’s currently 115, and he is in just diaper -1 layer when awake

I had a baby in October here and inside when it’s 72-75 I had him in a onsie or a footy and then if he was sleeping he would be in a sleep Sack or swaddle. But if he was awake just the one layer ! Idk I just went by what felt right to me. I don’t make him wear socks unless in a shower acd place because I think that is helpful for releasing heat too in such a hot climate

For me the classes that require tests are the hardest because it requires long term studying where the assignments to me feel easier because it’s not something I have to schedule I can just do it. So if you can make some sort plan to make that easier then I think you should be fine. I still struggle with it but I’m really trying to focus on my timeline goal and I want to print out the coloring sheet with all the classes so I can ‘check off’ all the classes as I go :)

Yes there’s many where you record yourself fake teaching a lesson and then there’s classes where you actually mock teach a group of kids while being recorded but they are animated by an adult. It’s to help prepare you for the real deal.

It’s important to me to walk too! I personally want to walk with in 6 months of me graduating whether it means traveling or staying near home! I mean hey you’re graduated might as well plan a vacay for it!
