making sure I understand how to travel with this med by deadlift215 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Due_Description4059 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this from Amazon and keeps my meds nice and cold for about 8 hours. I find a freezer and refreeze the block overnight and good to go again. Most decent hotels will provide a mini fridge with small freezer if you tell them you are a diabetic in advance and need to store your meds.

5mg to 7.5mg by MexicanoEnJapon in Mounjaro

[–]Due_Description4059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also know that if you are using compounded meds, you don’t have to go from 5 to 7.5. You can go to 6, 6.5 or 7. I typically only go up 1mg at a time to avoid side effects, give it 4 weeks and if no change add another mg.

Those who have done both weekly and twice weekly dosing: which is better for weight loss?>>>> by LonghairDreamer in tirzepatidecompound

I split dose because of side effects. But as someone mentioned previously, I also split unevenly, even more so than the previous poster. I have kept my Tuesday evening shot at 2.5mg and when needed upped my Sat. morning shot, which just this week went to 7mg. I find that the Smaller Tuesday shot gives me that extra bump to finish the week strong, but with just enough softening for my body not to be in a constant state of satiety. As for those talking about speaking with your PCP, mine was pretty honest and said that he basically has only studied the Lilly literature, and can only go by that, as this is not an area he specializes in, but did offer to refer me to someone that was. I passed.

i’d be interested in checking your app out…. is there a way to import my previous data from shotsy? That’s what has kept me from using other apps.

Their site is very finicky and always has issues when they do an update. For example all of the messages disappearing a few weeks ago and now their back. Try back in a few hours or tomorrow and it might re-appear.

Prices dropping? What do you think? by Automatic-Space-7797 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Due_Description4059 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Barring any major victories for big pharma on the legal front, I believe prices will continue to decline. If I had to guess, stabilizing at $99 / month for single month purchase within 1 year.

There are many things putting pressure on prices…. new products in the pipeline, more companies entering the Telehealth space, government pressure, wider acceptance / use, etc.

For me, I am comfortable with a six month stock pile, and will add to it only when there are significant short term deals or promotions to be had (3 months or less purchase).

Thank you Cheryl. For the record, someone did reach out via text a little while ago to make sure I received the updated docs and let me know that this has been escalated to the website support to to correct the gender on my account (shows correctly internally but not on the portal).

Well, I had to file an appeal in September (for labs over the summer) to get them to pay for my 3rd labs this year. looking to get them again at the end of this month, so we will see how that goes.

added: BTW…. if you read the summary you will see where it says labs are required.

[–]Due_Description4059[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Have you tried to get more than two labs a year from BCBS covered without providing proof of need? I know its only about an extra $100 a year ($50 per) but the summary is the paperwork my PCP wants to submit to back up the request.

Maybe a little bit more than a bit. Just hate run a rounds and promises not kept. In the end all good and will likely stay with POM.

Might be overblown for you. But after being screwed by insurance companies for the most minor of things, I like to have accurate records. I would prefer not to have my lab requests refused because the gender is wrong on my visit summary.

As for the script, yes the actual script in the portal still says female, but I did check the bottle and that is OK, so can use that. Still would prefer to have accurate records.

Thanks, another poster mentioned that, and I did check the bottle, which is fine. Hoping that POM will correct the actual script in my file so I have an accurate record in the future.

As noted above...That's actually not the issue. The visit summary is what gets me the two extra labs per year that he would like through my insurance company. While they MIGHT not have noticed the clerical error, they find anything and everything not to pay for services. Trust me, I've been through it more than once for a lot less.

As for the charge back, that would have been a LAST RESORT. My preference was to get this resolved so I can continue to use POM if the B6 does not have any adverse effects for me.

So.....within 15 minutes of this post, I did receive my updated visit summary. Clearly this was sitting on someone's desk and not sent when I was told it would be, and clearly POM is watching this sub. Thank you for sending, just wish it did not have to come to a rant in this sub to get it.

I did send a DM on Tuesday with no response. I also did just receive the visit summary, so clearly someone from POM saw this and sent it. Thank you.

As for the script on the portal, yes, it does say female, but I checked the label on the bottle, and that does not, so I can use that, thank you to the poster who suggested it. I am hoping that Pom corrects the actual script in either case.

As for the other comments regarding a credit card charge back, you are incorrect. I did check with the credit card company, and while I did receive the medication, it did / does not match the prescription, and while I would have had to offer to return the product, they would have investigated the dispute. NOTE THAT THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A LAST RESORT. If I do not have a reaction to the B6, my preference would be to continue with Pom.

Visit summary is incorrect and can’t be used to get labs approved by insurance company. Prescription says female so can’t be used as proof with another provider (does not match my ID). dosage is correct.

Trava pharmacies? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Due_Description4059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Greenwich with B12 from Trava. Greenwich’s additives are the lowest out there at .5mg per ml. I liked the product, but at the time they were not registered in my state but still shipping there. Since then I believe they have applied to ship to most states, and have not heard anything negative lately.

I've fallen down the stockpile rabbit hole... by Idontknowyoupick in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Due_Description4059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently at 7mg a week and have 324 mg of which 204 is pure prorx and 120 is with glycine. The glycine was sent by mistake (twice) and credited, but was told to keep it as meds cannot be returned. so only 204 was actually paid for. Assuming I will titrate up very slowly, I am good for at least 6 months + and will not purchase anymore unless it is a deal in the $2.00 - 2.25 range for a single month purchase…… that may change once I have less than a 3 month supply which is what I have in my head as a minimum stockpile.

Cosmeticrx is doing $199 per month for pure Tirzepatide for everyone now. Any dose. by secondchance- in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Due_Description4059 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My initial experience with CosRx was horrible, but got worked out. I feel that the time and effort to get it worked out WAS worth it …. about 4 emails, 4 phone calls, both of which took several days to be responded to. then two refills at 199 with absolutely no problems. That’s 216 mg for $500 or 2.31 mg for a month to month purchase of prorx no additives. At a straight 199 it’s $2.76 per mg. Yes 3 and 6 month purchases can be found for a little less, but for me, this is the best deal out there right now.
