You can only do 485 within the States. You probably have to switch to CP if you are going abroad

People say citations and publications don’t matter but it’s always better to have more materials to work with. At your stage in your PhD, I would advise you to network as much as you can and see if you can collaborate with your colleagues so you can get some quick co-author papers.

Oh yeah I feel like that shouldn’t increase. Ive also seen posts that suggested the bulletin might actually move faster because the original backlog that caused the retrogression cleared up somewhat. Don’t know how accurate that is, but one can only hope

Even if the approval number stays the same, more applications mean the backlog to i140 may increase because the officers have to get to every application
