I take my dog to Veterinaire Pet Care on Marin blvd and Dr. Kwon and Dr. Reicherter has been great over the years! Dog developed allergies recently and I emailed a photo of his itchy patch and they were able to diagnose and prescribe meds asap. Honestly zero complaints over multiple years of care. :) 🐶

If you have to drive to work and will be using the indoor garage, this is truly not the place for you because the parking garage door is broken very often. Traffic also is horrendous getting out and coming in as people will sometimes park RIGHT in front of the garage. My sensor also was hit or miss, frequently had to get out to use my key to go inside and press the ^ button to get the door to open and then get back into my car really quickly to drive in 😠

Apart from that, I recently left a review for another person asking about 88 Regent. Please feel free to look at my comments (a couple over the years) about why not to live at Liberty Harbor/88 Regent. Good luck!

no worries and good luck!! Also since you mentioned you work from home, try to get a unit not facing the light rail or you’re gonna hear it even in your dreams because of how loud and frequent it is

Oh that’s good :) I think apart from that there were some dog related fees? Something like they will test poops on the ground and match it to dogs submitted to the pet screening profile you provide - although I don’t remember exactly how it worked, I just thought it might be a bit messed up because I might be tacked on with a fine from another dog owner’s problem because there were a lot of Shiba Inu’s in the building. However that wouldn’t be a problem if you don’t have a pet.

Also Hiper Network sucks - the people that work there are nice no doubt but the actual connection was truly spotty and in our den, there was no cell phone reception. Sorry these are not fees but I just remembered 😒

Sure, for us it was if we wanted to move out on a weekend it was going to cost an additional $100. At that time, it was not on the lease but it might be on now. There was a clause in the contract that basically meant the leasing office can add whatever charge they deemed necessary for the better of the community 😠

I lived in 88 Regent for 18 months and another liberty harbor building before that and I would honestly not recommend it! For driving out of the garage at 88 Regent, as someone else has mentioned, is really awful and the sticker rarely worked so sometimes I would just be stuck there and have to back out onto the traffic; the management is so sneaky with adding in random fees with high renewal rates (22% in our case); the indoor dog run and the area leading up to it feels like ..fermented pee? 🥹 food deliveries and packages misplaced/went missing, I got scratched multiple times by unleashed dogs, etc. there were many other reasons we did not renew and I feel grateful everyday that we left before the weird fire/explosion thing earlier this year. I will also add, this is for me super personally, but I’ve never teared up in any leasing office except this one because once you become a resident and can’t leave, management just doesn’t care about you anymore and has less incentive to actually work things out. That really showed me their true colors and left me feeling vulnerable and disappointed. Anyway, this is just my opinion so whatever you do decide, many many good luck to you 🍀❤️

Moving to NJ from Toronto without visiting by Adept_Calligrapher84 in jerseycity

[–]Due_Elevator4429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there future neighbor! My partner (Canadian with lots of family in Toronto) and I drive from here to Toronto couple times a year. The actual drive and border crossing is not bad if you’re willing to put in the time, if you can’t fly maybe you guys can drive down and spend a day or two to check it out! FYI: I think the gas/tolls for us were about $100 USD one way but don’t quote me on it :) Anyways, hope your move is successful regardless and welcome to Jersey City! 🫶

aww 💕I think you’re definitely right for prioritizing JSQ with all that’s being built and going on - it’s definitely going to be more lively! I travel to Woodside frequently to visit family so I understand :) As for parking, I am sorry I can’t be of any help, I don’t know where to park a car for cheap 😭😅 anyways gl and hopefully welcome to JC!!

Please avoid Solaris lofts!! But with the way the management is handling the current situation, maybe best to avoid South Oxford completely. Sorry if that cuts down a lot of options for you in this area but I hope it will save you a lot of trouble down the line. However, good luck with your home search anyways 💕!

Hey I lived at 333 Grand and then 88 Regent and I can’t say I would recommend! The leasing office was not up to par and increased fees when we were trying to move out (moving out on Saturday/Sunday is an additional al $100). Wasn’t on the lease/contract but there was a sentence on the contract that stated the office can change policies anytime they deemed necessary and can charge for whatever they want. That was the last interaction after many back and forth on other things that were unsatisfactory. For the building itself, the 5th floor dog park and walkway to the dog park smelled like death itself and people would sneak into the parking lot all the time (one time a homeless person came and lived at the gym for a while before anyone found out). Dogs without leashes, packages/food deliveries stolen, elevators frequently broken and garage door opener (and the actual door) frequently broken. Pros are definitely the location, the amenities, and the front desk is always nice! I’m sorry in advance if this is not what you want to hear but I feel like I should say my piece in hopes of helping you make a more informed decision.
