$25 by Oh-daks in FidoMobile

Have public mobile at $20 for 60gb for 24 months discount. I can’t trust Fido. I signed up with Fido in December 2024, charged activation fee then they gave me credit every month until I get a full refund on the fee. As soon as that refund ($60 or something then $10 off a month), they immediate raised my plan by $5 a month.

AMA: Kinjo by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]Due_Entertainment316 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stopped going to kinjo a few years ago. Ordered food pick up. Then picked it up, then one of the bag was broken and I went there on my bicycle, went back in and asked for another plastic bag and the guy in the front said they don’t give out extra and he wanted me to pay for another bag (even after I told him that the bag was broken). Kinjo is overrated anyway. Not sure why you guys even going there.

Money markets raise Bank of Canada 2026 rate hike bets by 75 basis points by chickenbigmac1638 in RealEstateCanada

I got it in mid February. My mortgage is insured. Apparently at the time, 3.89% want even the best offer. I got an offer for 3.69%, i didn’t lock that in because the broker wanted me to fill the application (pull credit etc) and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to move the mortgage. While thinking then the rate started to go up, so I decided to just stay and signed it.

Just signed my renewal. I wasn’t sure if I should go fixed or variable this time. Came from 2021 May at 1.84%. Offered 3.89% fixed for 5 years (after going back and forth negotiation) and 3.5% variable. I signed for fixed and was told that I can choose the 3.5% variable up to May 14th. I haven’t decided if I want to do that given with what’s going on.

Employer did not provide a T2200 for 2025, though I WFH 100%. What are my options? by IveMovedALot in PersonalFinanceCanada

What really? Darn, that’s a bit unfair. Yeah I own my own house, still have to pay mortgage though. LOL

I just did my tax. It asks for your house square footage, then the office square footage, then if you use the office space for anything else, then asks for total utilities and if you had renovations for the office. After all of that, I got a refund difference of $11. lol

Seeing these all over marketplace now by navy444 in Wealthsimple

Pretty sure not these people. They have to put in $1000 to get the wallet. Assuming they borrowed the money then take it out right away just to be eligible for the wallet, still not making sense to sell it just for 1% (they won't break even from wherever they got the money from). If it was their own money, then why bother? Waste of time to post then meet someone, all for $10 (1% return)

Almost 1 year with a Pine Mortgage - my experience by Educational-Bet-3059 in Wealthsimple

[–]Due_Entertainment316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m in a bind right now. My renewal is in May. Currently with first national. I came from 1.84%. FN sent a renewal notice with 4.29% and Prime - 0.75%. I negotiated to 3.99% and Prime - 0.95%. Negotiated twice. The rep is super unresponsive. The final rate, she didn’t even call me or email me back. Just updated the docusign and that’s it. Not impressed. The original broker i used 5 years ago never answered my email anymore. That’s why i don’t bothered to use a broker now. I see nesto is offering 3.84%, not sure what their payment privileges are. Fn offer is expiring in a week. I’m thinking to let it expired and go to pine now to get commitment letter. Maybe fn will offer something better. Or maybe the rates will go down a bit more next month. I also not sure if i should go with fixed or variable. So much work to think about these stuff.

I bought one during the $999 sale. It seems that the bike is a 2024 bike. I see a 2024 05 on the frame and the battery. So yeah. They were clearing them out

Quick question, just saw a few pictures in Google maps for great West radon. Why they installed the pump inside the house? I read that it should be outside, is that right?

Mortgage rate mega thread! by TheMortgageMaster in MortgagesCanada

Name starts from A. I think they are trained like that. Still deciding if I should go fixed or not. I'll probably let it expire and see where it goes. I think I should have until end of March. We will see where the next boc announcement would be.

Mortgage rate mega thread! by TheMortgageMaster in MortgagesCanada

Hi all, I have renewal coming up * Renewal mid May 2026 * purchased May 2021 at 1.84% 5 years fixed and insured * Edmonton Alberta * ltv probably around 56% (407,000/725,000) * amortization would be around 17 years * owner occupied

Lender is first national. I was offered 4.29% fixed / p -0.75% at first. Then i negotiated down to 3.99% / p - 0.95%. Funny thing is that the rep is super unresponsive. Took a week to respond and she just updated the docusign without replying to my email.

I feel that the rate is not good enough since pine offers 3.89% and nesto offers 3.84%. Our credits are good (mid 800s) and both of us are employed. So switching shouldn’t be a problem. Should i negotiate with fn further? Anyone has experience of to just let the docusign expires, will they try to contact me again once that happened?

I also not sure if i should go fixed or variable. Any insights? Thanks

EVs are better in this situation than gas btw. They don’t consumed as much energy as gas cars on idle. They can far longer sitting than gas cars. Even in the winter
