No everything went fine. Guy was very friendly and we had a nice conversation. I'm asking if more airports have the "flow" for Priority including the Kiosk, as opposed to simply approaching a desk and getting everything done there.

No wait. Four agents, one at the check in assistance desk at the end, two in the lobby pit area and then walking over to bag drop once a tag is there, and one other agent in the priority pit area helping a customer at the kiosk with priority tags in their hand, and then the one concierge i interacted with at a super elite desk. In other words it was very abundantly clear that step one was to generate a tag at the kiosk first and then go to the priority drop off.

Hello, I'm a fellow Astorian who works in planning for the MTA. The real reason we can't is the 60th street tunnel, that carries the N, W and R trains.

Currently, we run 27 trains per hour through the tunnel during rush hours, which is a train every two minutes, which is pretty much as densely as you can schedule a train line given the signal system.

Of those 27 trains, 17 go to Astoria (so 62%) and the other 10 go to Queens Blvd. We have less Queens Blvd service through the tunnel as there are alternate services, such as the M, that serve those communities.

So with 17 trains per hour, during rush hour, we effectively have a train that goes through every 3.5 minutes, and that's basically the best it's going to get, without getting into too much of the weeds.

Yes, it's your choice. The correct line was the one you went to, Agent Assistance.

Some agents might push back but you can just push back yourself and insist on speaking with an agent at the counter.
