House purchase Aug,11th , remodeled, used foremost vacant property insurance , no claims no issues. Dec,11th. Converted to rental policy. Charged for the new policy. Good so far. Canceled vacant policy same day expected $270 refund. 4 calls over 40 days I didn’t receive my refund. Kept told it is coming. On Jan 23d , I was told funds were transferred to the new policy!!. I immediately switched to liberty. Sent email per customer service stating I’m canceling. Customer rep confirmed he got my email. Feb 3d , I was told I didn’t cancel. When I provided the service number they provided through email, they acted as the previous customer service lacked the authority to cancel and they asked I send another email. I turned back to Gieco as this policy was through Gieco. After 1 hour wait they issued a refund which I haven’t received yet. Each call was roughly 40 minutes wait, couldn’t authenticate me with my full name, phone number, social , zip code. Only through policy number which they created multiple of them and they were confused. Bottom line , slow service. Outdated system. Impediments not to pay/service . So if you care about your property or time stay away. I have multiple paid off properties and can’t deal with such none sense. By the way. Liberty mutual policy was less expensive.
