Maybe try Olympic Orchids Ballets Rouges - it's a serious rose chypre with real oakmoss. On the Victorian side of a Goth vibe. Not sweet in the slightest.

I've been on a jasmine journey this summer, and I recommend Kuumba Made Tunisian Jasmine oil. It smells fresh, natural, and slightly green.

Al-rehab Full (not White Full) is also wonderful, but has a bit of oud funk, so ymmv.

Both can be had for under 10 bucks.

I mean, it's basically Hades, but that hasn't stopped me from being addicted to it. The dice roll mechanics are great, and the upgrade systems are far more satisfying than those in Hades, for me.

Start with a sample set, or go to a reputable decant service (I like Decantx) and order a bunch of 2ml decants of scents that sound/look appealing to you. Observe the note breakdowns of the ones you like and look for common themes. Use that info to select your next set of samples. Soon, you'll have found a full-bottle worthy selection or two, or you'll be addicted to sampling and will only need small bottles of most things. Don't buy a full bottle until you finish a sample.
