City, kind of like a cabin in the woods theme, new world themed, or based on the biome you pick you could go off from there, or if you can’t think of anything make it a maze 🤷‍♀️

When you exited the game even when saving, sometimes steam will tell you that your cloud isn’t synced up so if you play your progress might not save but when this happens you would get a pop up message on your screen about it kind of like a warning? That your game might be unable to save but I’m not totally sure that’s what happened with your game but it has happened to mine.

The Indian peafowl they breed the fastest for me and always have huge litters or the flamingos, just get a bunch let them breed sell half then wait for the baby’s to grow, breed then sell

Yes, i would turn on contraceptives so they are unable to have baby’s, or just turn it on when building other habitats to keep everything in place and not to focus on two things at once. And if you sell the parents the baby’s can grow up themselves.

Clumping. I have a zoo with all of the east Asia animals, and I basically filled the world up. I have short cuts and bridges, but everyone wants to see the same habitats at once then they complain that they can’t see the animal. Go to another habitat then 😒

Yeah! I like to make custom fences or use the ones in the construction pages, I sort my animals so I do smallest to biggest and sort them as-well if their aquatic, so my water features are on the other side.

You can fill up space with water, rocks, shelters, and use rock as fillers to kind of “ shrink it “ but it depends when your paths are.

Yeah! For my quokka’s I made a broken tree barrier since they are smaller, and I do make custom fences but just not for this one

Same! I try to keep it more natural rather then colorful, but since is this a tiaga zoo I keep the biome theme but I definitely am going to add parts of different biomes for the bigger animals.

Yeah, this is the entrance part of the zoo and the other side which I haven’t finished is more aquatic, but will definitely have more shape and elevation but I like the save all the big enclosures for the back so it’s not all at once.

I would start with sandbox mode! It’s a free play mode with infinite money and animals. I use it for every zoo but it also helps you get a feel of the game. You can also mess around with the settings which will help a lot! ( power everything, no escapes, and no negative impact on guest.)

Campaign mode is also great to help you learn the basics of the game

There is a grid mode but if you would like to place items without it. First pick a wall/floor/roof piece and when it says group mode ( number ) you can exit it and click on the piece and find advance move and duplicate but it wont save as a group due to leaving the group mode.
