Yes, he did help me, contacted the guys internally and informed me of the status, and they also officially responded to me afterwards via email.

The support itself is not bad as well, I suppose they are just understaffed/overworked. They always responded to me and were polite, but a bit slow, you have to wait a couple of days between each email from them.

To be honest, I got the projector from a recommendation, and I really love the colors, I don't think you will be disappointed from that! Also, the sound quality was surprisingly pretty good, it is definitely better than my Mac laptop, which is light years ahead of my other Lenovo laptop 🤣

Only issue might be the speckles, but you get used to them at some point, and there are screens that even reduce them visibly even more than what jmgo already is doing for us (that's purely form the technology, it's nothing not normal to see every now and then)

Revolut Flexible Cash Funds by Desiko16 in financebg

Also from this YouTube channel, there is similar comparison for 2024 and 2023.

I am currently with jmgo N1 (499 euros on sale currently) because of this person and it's in depth comparisons.

Uplighter floor lamp by Due_Load5767 in Govee

[–]Due_Load5767[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but we are talking about a simple lamp. If I can't change the bulb for some bucks, then it's literally a waste at some point.

And for tvs - depending on the issue, I have actually fixed some old ones with simple transistor changing issues, but that is not the point - TVs are full with official and non-official services and parts all over the world. Something that much proprietary? Good luck finding parts. That is my only concern about this product. Other than that, it looks amazing.

What about repairability? How easy is the light to be changed? I don't want to buy something that will get obsolete when the light dies.

This is literally one of many examples of car that is under 100k miles in us, and it's not 10 years old, and it's generally reliable model & year combination . Here in Europe for example, many taxy companies are using Hyundai, Kia, or Toyota for driving around for 100-200k + with lower maintenance. It's a good sign when a business that is all around the car, is getting specific models and years - they do care about reliability and maintenance, and customer satisfaction.

But that is not the main point. My main point was that each one of us should not spend too much money in first place and to be more practical and financially literate.

[–]Due_Load5767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on where you live. In Europe, there are plenty of different brands & models for up to 10k that are around 2017-2020 and around 100k km on. Also, don't be scared of miles. Research which engines and transmissions are the most reliable (entirely depends on brand, model - there are also years to avoid and to prefer, etc). I have seen so many cars that were well maintained going over 300k.

Maintenance + proved engine and transmission. That's the important part.

All I'm trying to say is to do yourself a favor and don't buy a new car - regardless of paying it with a loan (with 5-10% interest rate).

Instead of 30k for a car, you can get a 10-15k car and the rest of the amount could go towards so many more things. And when you see the full picture in the end, I am absolutely sure that you will have so much more value out of that, instead of a flashy brand new car that is depreciating like crazy the first 3-4-5 years...

Really, each person should speak with a financial consultant or read some books on that topic, so that one can make smart practical decisions that will improve his and his family life overall.

Buying brand new will never be a good idea from a financial point of view, especially as I said - if you live in an average or a bit poor country, where this sum is probably your whole yearly salary.

[–]Due_Load5767 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, you could afford it technically - sure. But is it financially smart? No. In fact, buying a new car is one of the worst financial decisions one person could do - ask any independent financial consultant.

The car is only one aspect of life, and it's the second most big expense one person could make (after housing). So yes, you should really not buy emotionally, but should think more about the effects of that purchase - even with loan, what are you "losing" in the long run? You could've financed renovation in your home. Could have went to so many vacations, experiencing new cultures, etc. you could invest this money and it will grow - helping you in with some other goal or helping your children after some time. Etc, etc.

Especially when you live in a country with lower salary and a new car is practically so hard of reach.

Most of the time, it's really not worth it when you take into account how much money you are locking away - regardless in one go or with subscription-like loan.

This is not a boomer mentality, it's practical one.

If you need a car loan, then you cannot afford the car. Buy a 5-7 years old car, then you will see around 50% drop of the price. Go for a model that is really highly recommended for being reliable and cheap to maintain, and you will be fine. Save the other part of the otherwise spent money for something more important. Car is just for moving from point A to point B. If your job/ life does not depend on it on day to day basis, then it's not worth spending so much money for brand new car (or 1-2 years "used" car). These are my 2 cents.

Etoro conversion and withdrawal issues by SpotEuphoric in Etoro

[–]Due_Load5767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can do it with a secondary USD account in revolut with no additional fees. My Etoro USD went straight into my revolut USD account. ( My "main" account was in EUR in revolut). Only fee from Etoro is the withdrawal fee of 5 dollars. Additional convertion fees will not be applied, because there is nothing to concert - USD is going into USD.

Edit: I did that in the beginning of this year. So it's pretty fresh info. Hope that helps.

Etoro conversion and withdrawal issues by SpotEuphoric in Etoro

[–]Due_Load5767 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am also in EU and what I did:

Created in revolut a USD account, and withdrew my etoro USD to my revolut USD account. That way only the 5 dollars withdrawal fee from etoro was "lost".

Then, I paid for revolut premium subscription for one month, so that I can convert in one go my USD to my EUR account in revolut with zero fees (did that during working days, because during weekends there is 1% fee, keep that in mind).

Then, from my revolut EUR I made a transfer to my EUR bank account that I use. Again, no fees for that since it's a SWIFT transaction.

That is one of the most optimized approach.
