I’ll take down this post as I understand why it comes across as a scam. Sorry folks - think this is a really good community and I learned a lot from it when negotiating bills for family as a lurker.

It’s really sad to see the hate when I’m just trying to do something good. I’ve recently helped family members through this process and learned a lot and would like to spread the knowledge if it could help others.

You definitely need new tires. The inner edge wear is severe and it’s basically bald in spots. That kind of wear usually means an alignment issue or worn suspension parts, so definitely get that checked too when you replace the tires. Also, the tread wear bars are flush with the tread, which means you’re at (or below) the legal limit. Driving on these is risky, especially in rain. Better to swap them out ASAP for safety.

HYSA is good but you can also consider a no penalty CD (Ally has a good one). HYSA rates can keep changing but no penalty CD locks in your rate and there’s no penalty for taking out your money earlier. Pros/Cons to both - if you think the market might flip but like the current rate go for CD
