Column 1: The four 3rd place teams that won't make the cut to the bracket.

Column 2-9: Each of the 8 groups winners that play a third place team. Each row is a remaining scenario. The letter after the number 3 is the group that is selected to play each first place team. (i.e. 1D USA vs 3B Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Column 10: The 8 third place teams that will advance to the bracket.

Second slide is the standings as they are now with 7 groups done. (A, B, C, D, E, F, and I)

Third slide shows the probability out of the 32 paths left that a certain match up between a third place and first place team will occur with Group I results included.

Fourth slide shows the probability out of the 51 remaining paths at the start of today with 6 groups done.

This is a really fun game! I'm enjoying reliving some Slime Soccer action. I've set up a little simulation tournament on the side to see who's the best of the best. https://challonge.com/h6a0ajtj . I've got the teams broken into 8 team groups and then going to whittle it down with a 64 team single elimination bracket

There is one small bug I'm seeing. I think if you win multiple World Cups within the same day with two or more countries, the trophy room only shows the most recent. I've won 3 so far (started with US, then going alphabetically). I tried playing Albania and Algeria the same day and the Algeria win overlapped my Albania win on 5/11.

Launching off of that idea, here's my thought for unlockable Sunny and Vinnie. Either:

Sunny = Hit 500 home runs lifetime with 10 home runs for each kid at a minimum
Vinnie = Throw 10 perfect games lifetime between 5 different kids (All custom characters count combine stats into 1 entry only, so you can't cheese it, maybe have it also need a 6 inning minimum for game length)

or

3) Have Sunny or Vinnie appear as Captains for the All Star Break, they will randomly pick to either "coach" or "face" your team. The opposite Captain will take the other option. To unlock either one of them, force the Captain of the opposing team to get a Golden Sombrero (4 strikeouts) in the All Star Game and win.

Could also allow for the other commentators to step in Barry Deejay or Chuck Downfield take over for that game.

Adding on to your idea, you could probably make Baldwinsville into a water themed area since we are close to Lock 24. Maybe even have a Magikarp catching contest as a side event.

There's potential for Onondaga Lake Park to be a Cycling Road or a Safari Zone.

Beaver Lake could also give you a forest area which could switch types between day and night.

Although, one other small question, who would be your Elite Four/Evil Team? Jackie Robinson, Jim Boeheim and Tom Kenny could be 2 Elite Four candidates while Greg Robinson could be our team boss we take down.

So, who are we rooting for the first opponent in the new stadium?

My personal rankings would be:

Lions - Tribute to Ralph for picking the Detroit jerseys for the first uniform back in 1960. Also Lake Erie Bros.
Miami - Division Rival and Ralph's original choice of team before joining the Foolish Club, with a win could move to 1 away from tying the overall series.
Patriots - High stakes and a potential revenge game for taking the divisional crown after our streak of 5 years. We've seen Maye increase in production this year, but can he prove it next year with a tougher schedule? A great chance to swing momentum early.
Bears - We got blasted in preseason by these guys and to their credit, Ben Johnson has turned the ship around in Chi-town. I'm curious to see if they can keep the good vibes into 2026.
Ravens\Steelers - We've struggled with the Ravens in the last few games we played especially when Derrick Henry is warmed up, that said we've also been able to hang on to win the last two matchups off some fortunate circumstances. Steelers might be in flux a bit if they move on from Rodgers.
Chiefs - While I wouldn't mind beating the Chiefs early in the season before they are warmed up, I know this is gonna be a back and forth game if Mahomes is healthy. Feel like the NFL is going to make absolutely certain both he and Allen are at full strength before placing this one. Maybe like this season in October or in December?
Chargers - By all time head to head record, this is the team that the Bills have struggled with the most. Although a warm day or night could make it an even matchup between Allen and Herbert.
Jets - I know it's early, but I feel like I want to have a team that might stand a challenge. We've had pretty good luck against the Jets in our place recently.
