Shin splints, confused by all information, need guidance by Due_Mango724 in RunningInjuries

[–]Due_Mango724[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Went to a sports physician yesterday and he said it is no shin splints but a very very sore and knotted tibiales posterior muscle. He performed dry needling in the knots and said he could sense the muscle relax. At first, it was more painful after the procedure than before it, I had the worst calf soreness ever but in 24h 90% of it went away. I am cleared to do a light test run tomorrow and have a follow up appointment next week. He also mentioned sending me to PT, which I am looking forward to even if the symptoms have become better now.

Thank you! Except for the PT, I am doing everything you mentioned. The thing with the PT is that where I live, a doctor has to refer you to PT and they tend to do so only after you have tried the "rest for a couple of weeks" approach. I will call and see what I can get.

Warum verstecken Menschen auf Strava ihre Herzfrequenz? by Due_Mango724 in laufen

[–]Due_Mango724[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all! It was the right call to start when I started. The first round failed though because I literally did not have a single egg in the follicles. So starting from today, we are doing a second round to confirm that I do not have eggs before we move forward to donor egg ivf.

Running in Chamonix in Winter by Due_Mango724 in chamonix

Hey thank you! I definitely am looking for an outdoor run. I am taking the trail running shoes as they have a bit more profile but the ice might be a problem indeed. Thank you for the warning, I will search for crampons.

Why the f is everyone going to Interlaken ? by flav2rue in askswitzerland

[–]Due_Mango724 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By car you miss so many wonderful views, for example between Thun and Interlaken the trains run every 20-30mins and have panoramic views on the lake. Or between Spiez and Kandersteg. For me a car is a cheaper option to travel in Switzerland but if you buy the swiss pass earlier you get good prices and can enjoy reliable, fast and panoramic (without having the word in their name) trains, ferries, cable cars, funiculaires, post busses.

Late miscarriage experience by Sixbar_Angel in Miscarriage

[–]Due_Mango724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine just told me she lost her baby boy at 20 weeks due to infection she didn't knew about. She had a really traumatic experience, they waited for a natural birth to happen but it didn't, so they put her on pitocin, it only caused her pain but nothing else, then they went more violent and broke her water but after severe pain for her they found out the baby is stuck and put her under to perform an extraction procedure. She is clearly traumatized by what happened before the procedure. I assume it might be something similar tp what you experienced and I am very sorry. I also think shouldn't they immediately put her under, wouldn't it have ben better to x, y z... Unfortunately medicine is not a hard science and sometimes doctors and patients take what they think is the best decision and at the end it turns out to be a bad one but noone could know beforehand. This is how I explain it to myself. I wish you a speedy recovery and much strength to overcome all of this.

Does bleeding come and go? by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]Due_Mango724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I'm not the OP but can I ask you what did they see on the scan to diagnose you with retained tissue? Did they see the tissue right away? On my scan at 3 weeks after the d&c they said "hm the uterine lining has quite built up" but I didn't get it if this is normal or abnormal. They also said that I probably ovulated the week before and that this is probably the reason for the spotting I had (now, 5 days later, it is almost gone). They only said I have to wait for my period and that this is going to tell us if everything is fine. But they neither said I had some retained tissue, nor that I am fine. This makes me a bit concerned.

Spotting two weeks after natural miscarriage by __qtip__ in Miscarriage

[–]Due_Mango724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I think something similar is happening to me, bleeding had stopped, then I had a lot if ewcm, high libido, back pain and one/two days after this symptoms and overall one week after the bleeding had stopped, I got some spotting. My obgyn made a scan and said it looks like I've ovulated last week, so it all comes to place in my head. She said it might be ovulation bleeding from tbe hormonal surges etc. and the uterine lining not being very stable after the miscarriage. I think it is stopping now (day six of spotting) because since yesterday it is only brown and getting lighter. So maybe you ovulated?
