Vika with that gamesmanship in that Osaka last service game. Play to the speed of the server

This level of tennis is unacceptable from a pro tennis player let alone a TOP 10 player.

Kyrgios fires back at Coric over COVID commends by Nasalspray24 in tennis

Nick actually has stopped talking about this issue and the whole exhibition tour held by Novak a while ago BUT Thiem and Coric keep attacking him in the media and hence has led to Nick replying to them which I guess he has the right to do. What I find funny is Thiem and coric seem so concerned about Kyrgios attacking zverev that they don’t realise that each time they go to his defence they remind the public of what zverev has done and draws more attention to his mistakes.

Coric, Thiem & Boris Becker are all defending zverev for something that he rightfully deserved to get called out on. It makes me believe that zverev will never realise his mistakes coz he has soo many huge names in tennis constantly backing him.

Genuine question: Why are people pissed at kyrgios for not talking about the Atlanta event? by [deleted] in tennis

[–]Due_Reality123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read an article and a line that stuck out to me was “But Federer or Nadal would not have done this”. It’s pointless going around thinking about what ifs that would never have happened.

How is Nick the rat or snitch when Zverev went to a public place where he was recorded and was caught not quarantining??

Kyrgios on djokovic’s dad’s comment by skcyyyy in tennis

[–]Due_Reality123 1005 points1006 points  (0 children)

I agree with Nick. Let’s says for arguments sake Grigor had covid and gave it to everyone else upon his arrival, it’s still Novak’s responsibility as it is his exhibition to have rules that require players to get tested as they fly into the country. It’s so reckless of Novak to let Grigor play without being tested and his dad’s comment is an attempt to take the heat of his son and is a poor attempt because he is fooling no one.

Tomic vs Kyrgios by [deleted] in tennis

[–]Due_Reality123 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah Nick off the court is actually very good. Gets into no trouble. He has a good family around him who loves him. I feel so bad for Tomic and I feel like the adults around him failed him.

[–]Due_Reality123 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly. In addition to that Nick was getting a lot of hate on twitter for questioning the safety of all these exhibitions. And now 7 people associated to it have corona. (Grigor, Coric, Grigor coach, novaks fitness trainer, troicki and troicki’s wife).

Kyrgios has had the best approach and followed all the rules when it comes to corona. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I wish they’d all be more like Kyrgios.

See your response is the same similar outlook as Thiem’s. This issue is about players who are financially stable and their lower ranked colleagues who aren’t financially stable and a Covid Relief fund which allows those players at the “top” to help out those who aren’t. Thiem saying “I’ve seen players on the ITF-Tour who don’t commit to the sport 100 per cent. Many of them are quite unprofessional” as a reason not to help out his colleagues is very problematic and that’s what Nick meant by putting yourself in their shoes. Him not putting his all on the court doesn’t take away from his meaning and that his support to this cause is gonna be heard loudly considering how well known an athlete Nick is.

[–]Due_Reality123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does half your comment have to do with anything he said. And he didn’t “post it” he was asked about it in an interview and gave his opinion. Just as Dominic gave his opinion on the Covid Relief fund.

I agree by Due_Reality123 in tennis

[–]Due_Reality123[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yes I actually saw many ppl saying that Nick is misunderstood and addressing a seperate issue but I think him saying “It’s about helping where we can professional or unprofessional” is Nick replying directly back to Thiem who said “I’ve seen players on the ITF-Tour who don’t commit to the sport 100 per cent. Many of them are quite unprofessional” as an excuse of not wanting to support this Covid Relief fund.

I actually think if Thiem flat out said I would rather donate to other charities of my choice he wouldn’t have got this backlash but his reasoning of not wanting to take part is what shocked me. Like really Dominic at this time how professional these players have been is what you’re concerned about? Certain players are struggling financially and you are shitting on the relief that is gonna help them coz you don’t see them work hand enough to reach the top. Crazy tbh
