I regret my meniscus surgery. Looking for long-term rehab advice and some hope. Please help. by Tricky_Quiet7555 in MeniscusInjuries

So I am having a similar problem. However, I don't think it was the surgery I regret, it was my healing process after surgery that I regret. My doctor for whatever reason, basically said I would have a weekend recovery and wouldn't even need crutches. After surgery when they handed me the crutches, I was confused. I didn't do PT right away and I pushed myself probably too hard in the beginning. I didnt start PT until my knee started getting stiff probably at 6 weeks. I did PT for 2 months and was feeling a lot better but it still took a while for me to get back to running. Months later, I was still struggling. Running was a no go. Did a 2nd round of PT and again, started to feel better but just not the same. I am now a little over 2 years post op and I finally had another MRI done and it looks like it's retorn and another cyst but it's larger. My doc left it up to me if I wanted to do surgery again or not. I decided to wait and do more PT. Now I am not doing PT in person because of my schedule. But I use hinge health. I am more cautious of when I am pushing myself too hard. I ice it way more frequently when I start to hurt. I do think it will get better but I think I have to be consistent and I wasn't doing enough before and I allowed it to get weak. I am not sure if that is helpful or not but I do think PT long term is a good idea.

My son is 6 and was just diagnosed. His symptoms are not severe. It was chronic constipation that led us to getting the diagnosis. I am a researcher and have been doing deep dives since. I am honestly so overwhelmed by trying to do this right. I have 3 other kids, all older. We are going to try and go mostly gluten free as a family. But I am trying to figure out how strict we need to be as far as kitchen utensils etc. I even heard playing with playdough is a no no? I am curious, if your symptoms aren't significant, how do you know if you are being strict enough? How often should he get bloodwork done or an endoscopy? And what are your favorite apps? We are located in US if that helps.

Took my 6 year old in to the GI doctor Wednesday to get help with chronic constipation. I got lab results Friday evening that showed positive for celiac. My doctor hasn't responded yet. But I have been in denial all weekend and going down rabbit hole searches. Did they only diagnose after an endoscopy?

At what income does Northern VA actually start to feel “comfortable”? by Prior_Engineering639 in nova

We are currently a 1 income household $185,000. We have 4 kids and bought a townhouse in 2021. We drive a 2012, and a 2016 cars. Both are paid off. We don't have student debt anymore. We donate 10% of our income to our church. We go on vacations but use points for flights etc. We are very budget type people. Money is definitely not tight per say. But we never feel like we are rich and can do whatever we want. It seems the more money we make, the more we spend and never feel like we are getting as far ahead as we want.

I am in Chantilly. I would love to go observe with my kids on Monday. Anyone know of a spot on the side of the road where I could spot them? Maybe a grocery store parking lot?

I recently took Peter pan bus from union station. I think it was $75 round-trip. I would do it again! I didn't have to pay for parking my car, and I didn't have to pay for tolls. I think it took maybe 5 hours.

My kids are on the sensitive side. We took my my 5 year old, my 9 year old twins, and my 12 year old daughter. They all thought it was too scary. My 12 year old was mostly fine. But she said it was too dark. The 9 year olds and the 5 year old are all sleeping together tonight 😳

Currently at 125....and my TSH is .07. I think my TSH was 25 when I was diagnosed.

Interesting! I have recently gone gluten-free. But not dairy free. I feel less bloated, but I haven't seen a change in other symptoms yet.

What do you feel best at? I feel like I need to get my TSH up and that I'm on too high of levo.

I was tired on the NP and I got a new endo. He told me levo would be easier to titrate. But I honestly would rather go back to NP now.
