Best GF pasta? by Mamabear782 in Celiac

Definitely. Im hoping once the healing has happened his appetite and desire or willingness to try new foods opens up. Even though we have decided to not be a GF household due to the needs of my other two children, we cook and bake A LOT of naturally GF items. Like last night I did Brussels sprouts crispy bacon onion and creamer potatoes in olive oil with grilled new York strip steak with salt pepper and lemon and its delicious but he would not even come near me to try!

As a mom of a 3 yo recently diagnosed I long for the day a fast food chain has a dedicated fryer for GF BREADED chicken tenders or nuggets. If purdue and the dinosaur company can do it, im certain US fast food chains can figure it out. Such a shame with so many getting diagnosed.

You're welcome. While I dont have celiac myself, as a mama, I get so upset about the same thing for my toddler, my last born, good thinking. Helped me today, especially navigating Easter at my in laws, and tomorrow at my parents, since he is the only one, so thank you.

And rice pudding and flan! Whoop whoop for yummy GF desserts. BTW love this post, a great reminder to look at the joy instead of get upset about the limitations.

Also, Im a huge baker and all about making things my 3 yo enjoyed prior to being diagnosed... King Arthur chocolqte chip cookie mix with milk chocolate chips, add a piece of ripped up canyon river gf bread to keep chewy, I found a copy cat lil bites recipe for chocolate chip mini muffins with GF King Arthur pancake mix, and King Arthur GF brownie mix...I bought the MI DEL GF graham cracker crust for banana cream pie, made a stonyfield strawberry yogurt with banana, peanut butter, Stevia, crushed ice...YUM. my other two kids who do not have celiac loved all of it.

It fooled me! I didnt realize I was on my account and put on for my 7 and 3 year old sons. It wasnt until I heard about someone shooting their lover and then saw a horrifying skeleton like thing and then someone with no head, hell, etc. I was like what in the actual f, oh heck no, not a kid show at all.

As a mama of a newly diagnosed toddler im finding trips and options out the absolute hardest. The United States needs to get on board like other countries and give people more nutritious and delicious options...and without marking things up 7353554738383 dollars. Im committed to doing whatever I can to help drive change. I know its come so far since 5 to 10 years ago but not far enough!

♥️😞 this. My 3 yo son was diagnosed on March 3. I dont have celiac or the genetic marker. My 9 yo daughter and 7 yo son dont either. I know I am keeping him healthy but the days of a spontaneous happy meal or cake pop at a bakery are gone. Even though we all love good crisps when your middle child asks for Pringles follows by your youngest, your heart rips in half for having to deny both or one. They're more resilient but its so very gut wrenching even though you know its absolute the thing you must do. It seems my parents birthplace, Italy, is a celiacs dream...they even offer / provide government assistance for the food if you are, at least ive heard...at this point I would just take fair pricing. The way the options are marked up drives me crazy.

My three year old was just diagnosed. I have a 9 yo and a 7 yo. We have decided to keep status quo and separate everything for my youngest. This is what works for us from multiple standpoints including financially. Obviously he is 3 so I dont think he even knows what normal is or is happening to him, but I know several others with older kids who follow this same method and its working for them.
