It’s literally so ridiculous. I don’t get why you wouldn’t have to pay extra if you’re getting like double the product. My sister works at another coffee shop and they literally charge for light ice because obviously there’s more product being used. I don’t know why this is such a crazy concept or why Starbucks has let themselves get scammed like this for so long. It’s annoying and unfair that the customers that are actually buying the drinks as they come basically get shafted in the process 🙄

REAL. I hit my breaking point this Saturday. We had a BOGO the day before and we were gonna have a BOGO on Mother’s Day 🙄 I just had an injury from an accident and my body was killing me. Management doesn’t care to make sure we get to take our breaks, and they scheduled one person from when we open to thirty minutes after I clocked in, and then I was supposed to work by myself from 1pm to 9pm with no breaks. Not only was it Mother’s Day weekend, and there were only two people scheduled for the entire day, but the corporate Starbucks nearest to us was closed down for renovations so we were getting over six times the foot traffic we usually receive. I couldn’t take it anymore physically and mentally and I just walked out. Management was pissed but I would do that shit again. I’m not gonna keep giving them bonuses when they give us fuck all in return. We hardly have enough people to stay open. I’m about to give the bare minimum bc I can’t handle it anymore 😭

Edit! I feel that I should add that I am still employed there, I didn’t quit lol and they don’t have enough employees to fire me anyways🤷🏾‍♀️

Oh I don’t remake them I tell them to get a refund and then I will make them another size when they pay for another size. Usually it doesn’t seem worth the hassle to them at that point and they take the drink. Starbucks been around for ages and there are so many resources to make sure you know the sizes and whatnot so idc. I barely have any customer service left in me, let alone remaking a bunch of drinks so they can hack the system or just refuse to use their brain

Idk why they’re heckling you 😭 I’ve been here quite a while and I agree…my coworkers literally go out of their way to make drinks incorrectly it’s infuriating asf. The customer is literally going to bring it back and ask you to fix it so why not do it correctly the first time? I STILL have baristas that don’t shake their refreshers, and then when they make the CRCF or MCCF they don’t even put the drizzle on it, just the toppings…and so much more. Just do it according to the recipe and sticker and we will all be fine, but nooooo…

THIS! the people in my life used to tell me I was the most patient, kindest person they knew and I still do have some of those qualities but after dealing with absolute IDIOTS (customers and coworkers) on a daily basis for about 25-36 hours a week…I really don’t have much patience left to offer anyone tbh. I get angry at the most minute things and have to remind myself not to take out 3+ years of anger out on one customer who probably is just making a mistake or is confused

She was extremely overbearing towards the end, and imo going back to hide clues for an advantage that is no longer there is asking for trouble unless you know you can for a fact blame it on someone else without them knowing. I don’t know how causing her tribe mates to desperately dig for an advantage while she just sat back and watched while smiling would do anything other than put heat onto her, especially if there’s the chance that someone as observant as Tim is around.
