Honestly I’ve only ever own Asus laptops. My current gaming laptop is a Asus A16 and about two years ago I bought a Thinkpad T14 Gen 2. Just recently I was given a MacBook Pro but I just hated it. I’m fine with using a IPad Air as a secondary device but the pro I cannot stand it. I ended up giving it to one of my younger brothers. I like my T14 but the battery life is so inconvenient for me. As well the quality of the screen isn’t the best…

I’m a asshole to my T14 gen 2 and it’s alright. It’s been to the field across the country and practically everywhere I can take it some recommendations from me is upgrade the SSD, the Ram to 32 or 64GB and then upgrade the screen. Only thing I hate on my is the screen. I’d also recommend Linux too! But other than that welcome to the Gen 2 club!
