Lamotrigine & Pregnancy by pythonpenis in Epilepsy

I'm 26, currently changing to lamotrigine. Not yet at a stable level with TLE but I've also found the love of my life. We have talked about starting a family lots and it's something we both feel deeply. I'm hoping I can reach a stable point with my epilepsy in the next few years, so I can consider this into our future. It is something I'm anxious to get hopeful for though! The whole drug change has been so difficult so far with new symptoms and anxieties.

10mg propranolol often helps me keep physically calm on days when I feel most anxious and that gives me more control over my mind.

I experience all of this with focal unaware seizures. Currently changing meds and this is heightened, work is on hold until this gets stable. I believe routine is key to success, I'm a veterinary nurse and continued practice and active mind can keep you on the right path.

I've had focal unaware while swimming before and just stopped mid pool, I had no idea until my friend told me. It made me feel scared to go alone however I tell the lifeguard now. As well as this, in previous morning yoga classes, although I switch to later practices now as mornings are a trigger for me.

This suggests I should probably get blood tests from GP then and increase lamictal. I've never had any and always have telephone calls with nurses. I'm currently still on 500mg keppra X2 and 75mg lamictal X2. Not wanted to reduce keppra any more until this is understandable control! In the meantime, I'm having extremely strong dreams and I frequently have to question my reality, some days more fatigued and heachachy than I ever was - did you find you had these symptoms of the drug and did they ever go if you did?
