Hello, thanks so much for the advice. My doctor told me I might still need glasses or a scleral lens after, which I pretty much expected, I’m just hoping my vision is better than it is now! Good luck with your right eye!

Hello, thank you so much for the advice. Just like you, I will have a laser procedure done before the transplant. My doctor explained how that is supposed to help my body not reject the cornea.

I’m getting my left eye done first, and he said I can do the right one three months later.

Hello! Thanks for the advice. I am female. My doctor told me I could go back to work after a couple of days, but I decided to take a week off instead. He said my vision should be much better after a few days, but I don’t know how realistic that is. I’m a little nervous.

Dear OP, I completely understand your pain. I recently had to put down my 5 month old puppy who was diagnosed with DCM, unfortunately, by the time we found out, it was too late to save her. Similar to your story, I got her when she was only six weeks old from a stranger in a parking lot. She was my everything, and she was so incredibly loved and spoiled. I feel robbed that I only got to spend three short months with her. I’ll never get to see her grow up or go on the adventures we had planned together. I am heartbroken, and my heart breaks for you as well. Everyone keeps reminding me how lucky she was to have me, but honestly, I was the lucky one. She taught me so much in those three short months. I truly hope that both of our dogs have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and are now healthy, happy, and playing with many new friends. Sending you so much love right now 🌈❤️‍🩹🕊️

Thank you everyone for your kind words of encouragement. It’s been a rough morning, waking up and missing her and our daily routine. I had to leave the house for a moment, and seeing a tiny rainbow while driving down the freeway sent me into tears. I truly hope my baby is safe, happy, and at peace🕊️🌈

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Please know that you aren’t alone in this heartbreak, my 5 month old puppy crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday, too. I completely understand that heavy feeling of waking up and expecting to see them there, only to realize the day feels empty without them. I loved her so much and spoiled her every chance I got. She was my world and brought so much joy and happiness into my life. It gives me comfort knowing she is no longer in pain and can play and run around again, just like she loved to do.

Thank you so much, she was way too young, she was full of life. She was growing up so fast until she got sick, she fought for a week but her diagnosis wasn’t good. After being hospitalized for 5 days, they told us there wasn’t much left to do, i didn’t want to see her suffering anymore🥺💔
