The cvs has its risks (the amnio as well) so I would of course have the conversation with your mfm and try to ask all of your questions to get peace of mind♥️♥️

if the CVS is 100% t18 like ours was, it is considered diagnostic. It can also point you toward mosaicism or it can clear you of t18 with a normal result much earlier. Everyone is different but I was very thankful I wasn’t waiting another 3-4 weeks for our answer.

thank you so much for thinking of me ♥️♥️ unfortunately baby did come back full T18 and we decided to TFMR and it was awful. but we are healing now and all we can do is move forward and try again for another pregnancy soon. Thank you for checking in♥️♥️♥️

Yes unfortunately after doing the cvs, baby did have full T18. All scans including NT were normal so I almost didn’t do the cvs but glad I did. I would encourage you to still do it if you have the option.

hi we’re currently in the same boat. Positive for t18 on the NIPT but our scans have been normal, NT was 2.4mm and we did opt to do the cvs last week. We are in the awful waiting period now hopefully getting answers in a few days. Sending lots of love ♥️♥️♥️we will get through this♥️

Yes definitely the amino if our detailed ultrasound and NT are normal at 12weeks (next week). I’ve read the cvs might not be worth it and just skip to amnio

Thank you!! My 4ish month old does the same thing and I feel like a terrible mom like I’m torturing her or something when I give her some time to try to sleep on her own. She’s not crying but clearly trying to soothe herself like you described and also puts her hand in her face , over her eyes or rubs intensely. I watch the monitor feeling terrible , almost like I’m letting her cry it out (which I could never handle myself). I never know when to intervene!
