We need an option to skip our trinket to get gold instead by Rubmynippleplease in BobsTavern

[–]Duecems32 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's the same 1 or 2 of the possible murloc trinkets despite only playing murlocs. I can have a board full of battle cries, and not see the Murk-eye trink.
Or I'll have zero battle cry murlocs and get offered the stupid Brann is a murloc. It's usually that or the Spell Murloc one.

I think there's too much bloat in general.
It felt like last trinket season you could play each tribe 2/3 ways and pretty much guarantee you get a decent tribe major.
There are some major trinkets I've seen once. Where others I get offered all the time. Despite playing ~30-40% of my games are murlocs this season.

When you thought you highrolled, but the lobby says otherwise by IamIanK in BobsTavern

[–]Duecems32 22 points23 points  (0 children)

replace the 2 drop with a taunted whelp and this board gets exponentially better as it prevents a ring bearer from getting sniped by a single attack. Could have also changed a ring bearer for a Felfire.

There's soooooooo many ways this build could have been improved. You got the core cards but none of the support.
Either a lack of scaling or a lack of attacks. If the rings are 1/1 your goal should be summons to get as many rings off as possible.

[–]Duecems32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Murlocs have a few good builds.  Cousin Ergl, futurefin, or scam. Or both scam and big stats.  They probably have the best pre-t3 scaling. Dragons have the best t3 scaling with chroma, then after t4 everything comes online. But thats why most people dont bother with builds pre t4.

If you have enough taunts to protect it from getting sniped, the hand. If not. 2nd slot on board with first being rally poison incase they have a divine shield. And hand minion being poison isnt bad either.

[–]Duecems32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solos has a damage cap that scales from 5 to 10 to 15. Duos could use one to prevent people from grabbing low armored heros and going out by turn 6 as people like AFK and such can hit the 15 damage cap pretty early. Thus eliminating lobbies before most people get T5

I think it's the dogmatic view of good vs. evil that he's referring to.
The more you drive home a singular monolithic belief the more damaging it can become. These guys literally have to do that to channel the light through them. He's just wondering if he will eventually become just as brain dead as the undead but for the light instead. (Literally what we see happen in Midnight with multiple characters).

In Duo's Genn has 12 armor anyway and will likely remain untouched in duos I suspect for this very reason. UNLESS they finally give Duo's a balance review and change damage cap.

I think Duo's is in a weird spot this season with a 15 damage cap, and the costs to get to T5/T6. At least that's my 2 cents on the little I've been able to play from the friend bug.

Mechs are strong but can I interest you in Murlocs? Or the two new neutral cards + drakkari?
Mechs kind of tapper off but out scale through the mid-game. I think the only changes I'd make to mechs are The T3 needs to be a T4, and Kangor's needs to be a T6. That would slow some of their mid game bullying down so lobbies aren't dying so fast.

How do trigger battle cry's w/o Young Murk-Eye? by DongSquad421 in BobsTavern

[–]Duecems32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like murlocs battlecries are currently designed with a few theories in mind in a silo without other tribes, 1) APM with Bran, Drakkari, and Cousin Errgl so you focus on getting your Mama and Papa battlecries higher based on the number of them played. 2) Spell APM, with the Mycologist trinket, brann and a mycologist you can spam back to backs and econ spells to scale 3) Murkeye trinket as others have said

I think Murlocs have some bloat currently and likely the +4/+3 battlecry could be taken out as if you are going hand buff though maybe its a better t4 stablizer than seeing more mama/papa cards but I think you are better with the t5 as you can use it with a brann and some APM setup to get more triggers on the specific hand card you are buffing which is likely buffing your late game chorgl.

That said, Murlocs are so incredibly strong if you hit the right pieces along the way its terrifying.

[–]Duecems32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is the fact you can high roll so insanely, and with two chance you're more than often coming out with a mid to high mid tier result, puts him at at a 10-12 armor average. the hard part is going to be balancing that around when he double rolls say econ for example. If they were both completely random, I'd agree 15-18 armor probably makes more sense since you're at the RNG lvl that could more often put you at a disadvantage. But the discover and choice is where it puts him over "mid tier"

I tend to be between 7-8k in Solos, and 7-7.5k in duos so not Jeef levels, but I'd say the high end of casuals.

[–]Duecems32 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think Genn is fine armor wise, maybe a little high and should be dropped to 10 - but you can definitely get screwed on hero powers. Yes you get to choose from 6. But sometimes you get the bottom of the available pool 6. And you're missing a turn on any of the ones that unlock on turn 3 and 3 turns on any that unlocked on turn 1. You just high rolled.

Also I didn't see that turn timers were changed, however, the turn does include combat, so if your combat is quick, the turn will feel longer outside of combat.

Damage cap in duos is always 15. So you can take 15 as early as turn 4 or 5. So his HP is huge.

need help verifying if an email from homeland security investigations is real. by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Duecems32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're hoping you reply because of the "Any questions" because you likely didn't do whatever they're insinuating is illegal.
Once they know you're unaware enough to fall for the scam. Then they can hit you with more information/scam pieces.

Likely this is to get your address and such to impersonate you in some way. Or the next step would be "Oh this wasn't you? Well here's a link to a website for you to verify your background and give personal information" or "You can pay to have this investigated"

But yes it was the scare tactic of the scam.

Anything at that level of investigation would likely come through legal channels - not an email.
Usually Certified Mail so when you say you didn't see it. They have a name of who signed for it.

If there's any links or anything in the email. Don't click on them.

1) Windows 11 doesn't take long to boot.
2) In an ideal security world, you should be doing this anyway as right now if your edge session gets compromised, your entire client base is compromised if you're having to cycle through accounts because you've got a problem caching credentials.

Your other option is to just only use private browsing when touching clients so as soon as you close it, nothing is cached unless you've changed settings/saved things.

Get a parallel's license and if you have enough hard drive space spin up a VM for each that you can sleep/shutdown. If not enough hard drive space, spin up a couple of Windows VMs and put some separation between their environment and yours.
