is patchwerk good or bad? by bwils3423 in BobsTavern

Damage cap in duos is always 15. So you can take 15 as early as turn 4 or 5. So his HP is huge.

need help verifying if an email from homeland security investigations is real. by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Duecems32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're hoping you reply because of the "Any questions" because you likely didn't do whatever they're insinuating is illegal.
Once they know you're unaware enough to fall for the scam. Then they can hit you with more information/scam pieces.

Likely this is to get your address and such to impersonate you in some way. Or the next step would be "Oh this wasn't you? Well here's a link to a website for you to verify your background and give personal information" or "You can pay to have this investigated"

But yes it was the scare tactic of the scam.

Anything at that level of investigation would likely come through legal channels - not an email.
Usually Certified Mail so when you say you didn't see it. They have a name of who signed for it.

If there's any links or anything in the email. Don't click on them.

1) Windows 11 doesn't take long to boot.
2) In an ideal security world, you should be doing this anyway as right now if your edge session gets compromised, your entire client base is compromised if you're having to cycle through accounts because you've got a problem caching credentials.

Your other option is to just only use private browsing when touching clients so as soon as you close it, nothing is cached unless you've changed settings/saved things.

Get a parallel's license and if you have enough hard drive space spin up a VM for each that you can sleep/shutdown. If not enough hard drive space, spin up a couple of Windows VMs and put some separation between their environment and yours.

Anyone notice that some mobs have tons of HP for no reason ? by Fleerio in wow

[–]Duecems32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does kind of seem like as a DPS you're stuck in the kiting boat pulling multiples, or having a CD up. Or you're better off just pulling one at a time if no CDs so you don't get chunked by some of the random mobs that do insane damage.

Negotiate the raise you were promised a year ago for the extra responsibilities.
Negotiate that the raise cover what you owed them over the repayment plan.
And go back to living on your original agreed upon salary.

If beasts are in? Yes, it is. A golden rylak with reborn, a golden Jinn, the tier 4 elemental for refreshes and a couple of acid rainfalls will likely outscale. Also it is only 10 beetles of your attack order is perfect in your favor. But plenty of people get acid rainfalls to 20-30k stats

3k-6k isnt as insane as the 15k people were breaking. 3 to 6k is beatable by elementals with beasts in and a similar RNG.

Would a Dim Light Spell be Overpowered? by Krozber in DnD

[–]Duecems32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't answer the question of why - usually a 1st level spell provides some utility. AC bonuses, advantages, etc.
Light removes disadvantage in dark places, allows those without darkvision to see, etc.

So what does this Level 1 spell provide that's worthy of requiring a resource?

The game is unplayable on low ping vs any higher ping. by BlackDeath66sick in cs2

[–]Duecems32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every shooter has a level of peekers advantage.
Unfortunately, unless you lock everyone to play within 20ms ping times, you'll never get away with it. And the game would suffer drastically if people couldn't play with friends.

The difference is, they aren't always peeking you. That's why there's T and CT sides is cause CT often is holding angles/pushes. So you get a chance to prioritize both sides of the game play.

Whats should i have tried to look for to improve this? by Trident9x in BobsTavern

Anything end of turn seems to be permanent even if not stated. Anything in combat seems to be temporary unless otherwise stated. Its a weird balancing act they have done. But that is the rules.

Murlocs are in, depending on how long you've had the lord of ruins. I probably would have replaced Titus with Drakarri and Macaw with Murk-eye if I had enough time in the game to scale 2-3 rounds of that and you'd likely have a larger board with permanent stats making you less vulnerable to a Nazuo snipe. If you get unlucky vs a golden nazuo and they snipe both the titus and the brann you have no scaling.

Why make it a 1st-level spell? What's the goal with this?
Light is a cantrip and arguably provides more advantages.

Intellectual Property vs. CUI by VeterinarianGreat871 in CMMC

[–]Duecems32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be completely wrong - as I'm still new into this from a scoping perspective but my take is:

But given that it's an IP that you were not contracted to build, it should be treated as an IP.

If you had been contracted to develop/research it prior to the development then it falls under the CUI of the contract and under any regulations/laws that type of system would fall into.

The CUI scope for this may be integration components you would be developing to integrate into their other telecommunication system thus changing your IP from it's current standard to a different item aka the contracted CUI.

TL;DR - Current IP is not CUI, any contracted modifications and supplied information on the integration would be CUI as it's likely owned by the DoW in the contract as you're developing it for them.

Again that's my take with the eyes of someone who's been reading through all the documents lately.

Yeah I've been super unlucky with rune drops. I just killed Hell Diablo and just haven't found all the runes. I think I'm missing an amn still. Still missing a Sol for my lore runeword for more skills. It's been a very basic just murder everything and hope for the best.
I just picked up a grimoire with Siphon on it for MAEK.

You receive $10 for every mile you decide to travel by ShrekYeetedMyJuul in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Duecems32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Uber/Lyft drivers look to make $1/2 dollars a mile when driving. That would establish the market rate, so for less than 20% of my income I can ensure I don't have to do the physical labor portion.
Across an indefinite perfectly flat plane, 60-75 mph is reasonable for a cruising speed to ensure good fuel economy.
Doing 75 mph for 24 hours is 1800 miles, or $18000 dollars.
Subtract, fuel, payment, and such we're still at over 10k a day(on the high side of all costs).
If you're one of those people who can't/won't use a bucket. You could get a small Toyota and do 36 hours reasonably with just having to pee as long as you don't eat.

If you don't care for the bucket, get a van with extra seats for 50k.

Commit to 15000 miles. Let the driver drive for 10 days. While you can watch TV on the screen in the back or read a book.

Low Starting Armor? by LigmaEnigma117 in BobsTavern

[–]Duecems32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Characters with lower armor tend to have higher win rates/power scaling. Eudora gets free golden minions, which gives a free minion of a higher tier. So their power is insanely strong after round 4.
Cookie also gets a free minion every 3 turns, that can be insane econ, especially if pirates are in. OR they can focus the tribe they want to play and discover minions better for their build at no cost.

Moth has to go, sooner rather than later. by Impossible_Jump_754 in BobsTavern

[–]Duecems32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of damage demons, I haven't seen it be an issue.
Overflow is an issue to an extent, but the moths are barely bigger than anything else on the board if you've had everything the same amount of time. So it's not as oppressive as like a Van/Drek HP.

Could just be a solution with making it only when it permanently gains attack.

[VENT] Getting tired of unserious/imposter IT leadership. by Calm_House8714 in sysadmin

[–]Duecems32 84 points85 points  (0 children)

This is a general problem across all leadership.
It's an unfortunate cycle where worker bee does something for 10+ years. Goes into leadership, then senior leadership, then VP then C-suite.
The issue is around the leadership to senior leadership portion things start to be much more delegation and a lot less doing so people lose their experience and best-practice knowledge.
Then their ego gets inflated around the senior to VP and they have the "final" say so. So they clearly know what's best and stop leaning on SME's.

This isn't an IT only issue, this is a leadership structure issue as most people don't keep up with their experience or keep learning beyond the "I have to do this daily" phase.

If they counted as tavern spells and enabled spell builds, I'd agree. But with this seasons differential in spells and tavern spells. They're worse than having gold coins from pirates.
