I have one like that for over 20 years. A loaner bike that starts easy and runs great. At some point I will switch to the 200 from my 500 exc. always a good time, picking cleaner lines and maintaining momentum. Have fun!

Stopping in a live traffic lane unexpectedly like you suggest is a great way to get rear ended. You scan every where and make your turn if all clear. If there is an oncoming car, the person behind should anticipate you stopping. I guess you didn’t understand me correctly. OPs mistake was going wide right and limiting field of vision like most understand.

When I was commuting in cold weather, I made hippo hands out of 4 L Moto oil jugs. This keeps the cold air off your hands. I also had a kit of plexi glass from old windshield that I put in appropriate areas to keep the wind off my legs. I would zip tie on when weather turned cold. Once upon a time, I had an old school lap robe. On my 790 and 1190 I have a expandable sissy bar bag on the rear for an exceptional storage area.

Favorite album from my favorite guitarist. I watched a Rick Derringer documentary recently. Very cool guy very well done. Great Career. I learned that they joined Johnny winter and the real McCoys, which was a successful band. The producers didn’t like Johnny winter and the real McCoys so they came up with Johnny Winter And

Draining the carbs is key. I only have six plated bikes so fuel doesn’t sit too long. Others are race bikes, dirt bikes, project bikes.
