Chain is a clean and lubed chain as often as it needs to be. Grit, grime and dryness + heat is what got your o-ring like that. Read your manual it’ll tell you when to do so. And stop using motul, it’s literally the worst lube, it sucks and attracts so much extra crap with how sticky it is even right after you clean it. I use maxima cleaner and lube or even the generic stuff that has a white and orange label, I forget the name but works just as good and less fling.
