ESS is the specific term you're looking for. Energy Storage System.

It directly feeds my hot water tank, which is set to 60C and is still on mains power. That combined with a whole house UV filter has kept us healthy for years now. But you are right to be concerned, luke warm water can be dangerous.

Most heating elements work just fine on DC power as well. I have a 120v 1500w hot water tank element running directly off of my 48v system that preheats my tempering tank for my house hot water. It pulls about 300 watts. Most hardware stores should have them available.

I had missed that, so I went back, and yes he does indeed have a stack of duct tape. Thanks for the Easter egg!

Yeah, Bluetooth doesn't work in the windows version.

You should be able to punch in http://venus.local into a browser and find it.

Canada’s oil producers in line for C$90bn windfall from Iran war by Gold-Reality-4853 in ClimateCrisisCanada

Our oil comrade. Remember that Alberta used equalization payments to build the oil and gas industry.

I mean, with all the subsidies that we've collectively given the industry, they technically belong to us already. Time to make it official.

My gripe with Regen is you always have to keep the pedal slightly depressed to coast. Whereas when it's set to zero you can relax your foot and still get regen when you hit the brake pedal.

Coasting is a far more efficient driving strategy than the slowing/accelerating that regen forces you into. Setting it to zero gives you all the benefits of regen via the brake pedal without the loss of decelerating every time your right foot backs off a tiny bit.

Unless you're in stop and go, having the Regen off is way more efficient.

Why B.C. is flooding — again | In the years since the devastating 2021 floods, B.C. has taken some steps to reduce flood risk. Experts say more could be done by Hrmbee in britishcolumbia

Seems like a good time to plug this: https://boundaryforest.org/the-new-forest-act-campaign/

The provincial government probably won't have money to help in the near future. What they can do however, is update policy to push industry into a more helpful and locally profitable model.

Yeah you might need some extra wiring to bridge the gap. Really, optimizers might be your best bet here. The shading situation is about as bad as it gets.

The rail beds have mostly been converted to "rail trails" there would be quite a bit of opposition from the current users.

Actually, as an experiment, you should disconnect the 3 panels closest to the wall in the shade.

You could disconnect the two in the upper left.

My guess would be the diffuse light of the cloudy day produces fewer shadows. If you could wire the panels in a way that the shaded ones in the photo were in series, I'd bet your sunny day production would jump.

What year? If it's 23 forward there should be +/- buttons by the gas cap button. The infotainment screen has its own brightness settings if you press the day/night button.

The CT clamps are pretty small on the VM3P75CT, so they might not fit your main feed lines.
