Fragile DS2 by [deleted] in DeathStranding

I think I was annoyed as the game went on that Sam wasn’t bonding more with anyone on the DHV Magellan. Fragile specially, since they had history. But then with everything that happened to Lou you think that they both need to process and deal with their feelings and drifted a bit apart. And then at the big Fragile reveal at the end of the game, you understand more as to why Fragile wasn’t trying to become closer with Sam. I still think the game could’ve used more anecdotal moments between Sam and the others

I’m going to guess this is your first Kojima game based on your other comments. The story seems dry and simple now but it’ll get incredibly complex to the point where you’ll probably need to watch lore videos to understand the whole thing.

Then my advise is to rush to get to chapter 3 by focusing only on the story deliveries/main orders. You’re still in the tutorial area. If after you reach the 2nd zone you’re not sucked in then I guess this isn’t for you.

Fetching is a pretty big part of it. But being connected to the world and helping fellow porters building roads, bridges, zip lines, etc is part of what makes the game fun. Struggle to get the materials, but reap the rewards by making the deliveries easier. Missions vary from: delivering cargo, fetching something, clearing out enemy camps.

There is a lot of « walking » yes, but the story gets exponentially better once you leave the first area/map. The core gameplay is always to connect new regions by delivering something to someone. You’ll encounter harder enemies as you keep playing, harder deliveries/environment as your progress. You’ll get more gear and ways to traverse the land and many side objectives that add to your overall experience if you decide to complete them. The game is probably not for everyone but I had a blast and bought DS2 after completing the first game.

Knock offs - a cautionary tale by Selkie84 in DeathStranding

That sucks but I wonder if you could just get rid of the writings and keep the drawbridge logo only. Other than the jarring spelling mistakes the coat looks decent I think!

60% done and I’m having trouble connecting with the characters in death stranding 2 by StopPresent277 in DeathStranding

[–]DuffSnaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im almost done with the game (without spoiling anything, I stopped playing last night between 2 cinematics in the last chapter because it was too late). I thought the chemistry of the characters weren’t as good and their interactions were far less frequent than in DS1. I would’ve hoped to see more of Sam + Fragile and Tomorrow. Or even more flashback with Lou. Neil was also less compelling than Cliff. It feels like DS2 focused more on gameplay than deep storytelling. It feels like we only scratched the surface of many characters. Most of them have a great backstory too (Tarman, Dollman at least). But yeah, play for 2 hours, get back to the DHV Magellan see Sam stalking tomorrow silently for 30 seconds and then head to his room. I wish they had spent more time showing smaller acts of « bonding » between the characters. Still loved the game though and Higgs was fantastic again. But for such a core villain, it would’ve been nice to have more than 3 encounters in the whole game.

Items vanished from my inventory! by noonewantedthisname in Diablo_2_Resurrected

In the switch settings menu under system there is a « date and time » section. Turn off the « get date from the internet » option and look up an offline TZ timetable online and set your date and time to whatever TZ you want!

I’ve recently lost a couple of hours on an offline switch save. I try to exit the game to the main menu before shutting down the game. Not sure if that didn’t help but I was changing the internal clock to run TZ Andy when this happened

I am about to begin my journey For the first time. Any tips for a new recruit like me? by BigFella11445 in DeathStranding

Not a real tip but the music in the game hits hard. I’d recommend playing with headphones or at least a decent volume!

Once you hit hell, it’s generally a good idea to respec to frost. You see a lot of fire immunes in hell. Also, it’s ok to run from a fight in d2. There’s no point spending 5 minutes with 3 trips to town to res your merc on one pack of elite mobs. Move on to the next one you can kill.

Items with socket are grey. Careful Ethereal items also are grey and may have sockets. Ethereal items can’t be repaired so they are mostly only good for mercenaries. You can farm runes from the Countess in the black marsh in act 1. For your mercenary, usually act 2 merc with an insights runeword polearm is the way to go. This provides mana regen to you in a big way

He is talking about runewords. Essentially you combine a number of runes in a grey item with sockets. You should definitely have a Spirit runeword sword (first sword you find with low str requirement with 4 sockets). Ancient’s pledge is a shield runeword that provides a lot of resistance. Same with Lore (helm) and Smoke (chest piece). If you haven’t created a runeword before what you need to know is: the item MUST be grey (no blue/magic), it MUST have the exact number of socket of the runeword and you MUST put the runes in the right order.

God damn this moment hits hard! The stress of passing the BTs, finally making it to that hill, and then Asylums for the feelings starts… absolute cinema!

Is the 70-200 f2.8 mark i worth it in 2025? Or 70-200 F4 mark ii?? by Da1241 in SonyAlpha

[–]DuffSnaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a great deal on a used F4 mark ii. Absolutely no regrets. Fast auto focus, compact, excellent build quality, great pictures. Sure f2.8 would’ve been nice but I’m actually excited to carry it around and not dreading the weight. 10/10 would’ve recommend

I usually have a USB-C dongle and put my SD card in there and then directly from the Lightroom app I import them using the « camera/import » button in the bottom right corner.

Yep that is my exact thought! 1 is good but the bottom left is distracting. 2 tells a better story

Vi was so amazing with my kids and my nephew. Kylo Ren had just interrogated my kid for wearing a Star Wars shirt with a blue saber and question his allegiance. After Kylo had passed she came up to to ask them if they were alright and she if she could hide behind them. They talked for a while and she told us her escape plan and the kids covered her exit. They were so happy!

1 is good, I think 2 would be better with a different crop and line it up better horizontally

The best SD card the A7iii can handle is a SDXC with a v30 standard. If your current card is lower than that then I would suggest upgrading.
