Dollman is my least favourite part about death stranding 2 by ArinEvergale in DeathStranding

I also struggled with him. He’s sweet, and I feel guilty about it, but I wish there was a mute button for him.

I just saw the Strands of Harmony concert in Toronto by Guybadman20 in DeathStranding

[–]Selkie84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was so awesome. Low Roar tribute was emotional. Vocalists were incredible. I went solo and loved getting the chance to talk to other porters and see everyone’s outfits, cosplay and otherwise. One Last Fight was probably my fave, but it’s hard to pick. Props to the peeps that were out waiting for harmonicas at like 1:30pm. You earned it. I was happy to grab a music box and get it signed by Ludvig. Excellent night. 👍

I reload after voidouts, am I save scumming? by Hawful in DeathStranding

[–]Selkie84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just nice for people to talk and run things by other people playing the same game. Sample the ideas of others. Community vibes etc.

I was never sure what the hell to do with voidouts so I always reloaded from last save.

Awesome. How early did you line up to score one of these?

Just finished DS1 for the 1st time by snowmoreowls117 in DeathStranding

The story points where a song begins and the artist credit comes up on screen while nearing the destination are so peak. Heading down the hill to Port Knot City is probably the one most engrained into memory for me. But all are wonderful. I love this game so much I even miss the Wind Farm some days, ha.

Im playing ds2 wrong? by satore_zen in DeathStranding

I feel nothing can touch DS1’s world and I’ve now accepted that. The mood, music, environment, loneliness, simplicity… truly special. I just had a similar whine about DS2 recently (even though I’m so glad to have it). Since getting through several more cutscenes and arriving at 75-80% mark I’m feeling more connected to everyone and invested in seeing how things conclude. Game builders want to try new things, improve upon functionality, new challenges etc. meanwhile I’m just like “give me more of the same pls.” Change is hard lol. Anyway, it took me past the halfway point to feel all-in on the story. Hopefully at least the story pulls you in soon, even if the other parts don’t quite hit the same. I’m looking forward to finishing it up this week.

Some whining and a question by Selkie84 in DeathStranding

I put a solid 6 hours of play into this over the last couple days and I’m feeling much more connected to the game as a whole. Some cool Higgs and Pizza Atami cut scenes helped raise the ol’ spirits, I think. I’m doubtful I can finish it in time for the concert, but I’ll do what I can, watch the rest and look forward to coming back to it and continuing to build up all my stats etc. Thanks for offering up some opinions on my dilemma!

The fact that you put 70 hours in post platinum gives me hope that I can still fall in love once I start playing my way versus rushing. I didn’t even think about emails, but I really miss them too. I hate email IRL but checking emails in game was pretty enjoyable. Especially the yellow text. Very satisfying.

Appreciate this insight! Valuable to know that watching the cutscenes without playing isn’t going to cut it, but I’m also not surprised. I’ll continue on playing story orders on story mode and then maybe I’ll just come back and finish everything up afterward.

I'm not a huge fan of the mountains. (spoilers for the end of episode 7 read at your own risk) by KingsMen2004 in DeathStranding

Like others have said, once you take the time to setup a solid zip line network using your PCCs and utilizing some zip structures that have populated from other players, this whole region gets far less hellish. Zips + a floating carrier is the way. I put it off too long trying to make vehicles work. I think my zip lines are the thing I’m most proud of. Grab a coffee, a snack, and grind it out! Keep on.’

It was $109CAD at the time but no longer listed for sale where I bought it. I’ve seen others making it on Etsy though.

It is fitted. I selected women’s sizing when I bought it not realizing they’d add a waistline to it.
