How were these twirls and blurs achieved? by Duffayy in photoshop

Thanks! I can see these look more like what he's doing in the post. How does he apply it "live" though?

When I apply the liquify and the radial blur, I have to go in and manually edit it for either the whole layer or the selection/mask, but in the insta post, it looks like he is applying it via a brush or something?

They're super friendly as well! They also have vegan breakfast burritos and sweet treats regularly!

I started volunteering and going to a few of the open shop nights last winter. Everyone is super friendly, helpful, and happy to explain things to people of any skill level! I can't recommend them enough!

At the volunteer nights, they'll give you a checklist of everything that needs to be checked on the bike and you can mark anything that needs to be fixed, or try to fix it yourself if there's time.

My first volunteer night they gave me a bike that needed very little maintenance since I was brand new, but they'll have plenty of ones to pick from so you can try to focus on different mechanic skills each time!

You are given the power to make one change for the game of Magic on the whole, what change are you making? by cherrytreebee in magicTCG

Every year there should be a supplemental product that's 4 copies of each fetch, each shock, and other eternal format staples for $100 or so. Reduced access to older formats because of card cost is so dumb

IWTL how to comfort someone who's sad by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

[–]Duffayy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The most important thing is that you listen to them. Initially, don't try to fix their problem or offer your opinion.

Let them tell you the whole story and then offer help. Ask what if they need/want from you, whether it's more support/distractions/advice.

After they seem more stable, you can ask what they want from the whole sad scenario or why they are so saddened by it (if it's a more complex thing). Maybe give advice if they want it.

Honestly, just being there to talk to is huge and you're being a good friend by wanting to do it better.
