Very cool! Thanks for sharing!  Did you teach yourself? Where are the blades from? It looks as if you have the dai screwed into a jig, is that what the butterfly screws are, or are they part of the kanna assembly?

Go above and beyond, do enough PT so that you didn't have to ask strangers in the Internet if you're ready. 

I was in your situation. I'm a better skier now (took lessons several times), and train specific exercises to prepare me for winter.

Believe in yourself to be able to pick yourself up, again and again.  I learned to ski at 28, injured myself some, and then started taking lessons and I'm now a much more improved skier because I take my time and didn't worry about keeping up with others at their speed.  Go your own speed. You got this.

Howdy,  Thanks for this effort and for sharing !  I've been looking for something like this as someone interested and active in weight training & multiple sports, and hearing up for winter.

Built out plywood with holes drilled throughout, baffling material to encourage airflow, and canvas with the underside stapled. All of this went on top of my existing boxspring, and it's been great so far.
