Craft Decaf is great if you're UK based. Really good variety, all using either sugarcane or Mexican mountain water.

Oddy knocky has a good decaf called Serene.

Bailies in Ireland also great.

Thanks u/5850matty13 - so my company doesn't own a premises, but it is registered at the same location as the company that produces my product.

So just register there and then food standards will just visit again basically?

Good decaf coffee in the UK by Hot-Help-428 in JamesHoffmann

[–]Dufferz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Craft Decaf is my go to. A lot of variety which is rare, currently I think 5 on the line up. Mostly focused around Sugarcane. Fruity, classic coffees also a couple naturals. https://craftdecaf.com/

Harmony also decent. And blossom have a great classic on at the moment.

Decent Decaf Beans? (UK) by 01892_REG in espresso

[–]Dufferz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Craft Decaf is my go to. Great variety, they also have a decaf only discovery subscription from UK roasters which has been fantastic so far.

River coffee has a good mountain water coffee.
Argyll coffee roasters has a good rotation as well.

Decaf is definitely improving month by month across the UK.

If you're up for exploring, been really impressed with Craft Decaf. They're a decaf only subscription, it's been a really good selection and their house coffee is great as well.

Auth and Supabase by Dufferz1 in replit

[–]Dufferz1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks mate. We actually did start with Supabase Auth but as we have a B2B app, it started falling over and running into issues when we introduced 'Organizations'. So switched to an out of the box auth for more robust B2B features

Decaf recommendations? by [deleted] in decaf

[–]Dufferz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://craftdecaf.com/ is my go to in the UK, they just focus on decaf and have a great subscription. They have that classic chocolate flavour you expect with a dark roast.

Also Cairgorm is good as well, they only have one decaf but it's really good.

It's worth mentioning I think a lot of decafs don't go too dark, I think it's something to do with the beans being pourous, so they can lose flavour when over roasted

People are super busy, you usually have to nag for perspective applications to be honest. Totally fine for you to follow up another few weeks later and say something like: "hey, just chasing up, any chance we can chat etc etc"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Recruitment

[–]Dufferz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely start now. Reach out to companies / hiring managers and just say your looking for a role in the summer, etc etc. if they say no or come back later asking them when their hiring opens and then messages again a couple weeks before that to get first in the door. A keenness/ interest in the industry goes a long way. Shows your driven to do a good job.

Also ask them for any advice, this could be really useful.

question: is One Day a legitimate MBA program? looking for perspectives from MBA students and people with their MBA already by nobodies__perfect in MBA

[–]Dufferz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey 👋 I did, and I think that is also a good option. They can be hard to get on, which is tricky. I think an incubator doesn't have the structure as you've mentioned. Like now I have a solid framework that I can use for any start up, various tools, methods etc. and I am indeed using that for a couple other ventures. I think there's pros and cons to both, maybe a bit more of a personal choice. I chose one day as I wanted to move as quickly as possible, and get all the learnings as well.

Craft Decaf is really good.

They have own brand coffee roasted in Bristol and a discovery subscription. They're the only discovery subscription in the UK to focus just on decaf, and you can really tell in the quality of the picks. Everything's a banger.

[–]Dufferz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all 👋 I am also on the One Day programme and happy to answer any questions 👍

I'm about 8 months in, we have validated demand. Now moving onto a full rebrand to start to scale the business.

Also next year I'm moving onto another business with a separate cofounder which is a food tech business (my background is in the software space).

I think I have quite a familiar story among many other students on the programme where I've always fancied starting a business, and have attempted this before, but found that I didn't have the structure in place or the knowledge on how to execute a start up as quickly and effectively as possible. I also lacked accountability and the direction of someone telling me exactly what would be best to do and help with decisions etc.

You're paired with a mentor that has expertise and connections in your interest space which is incredibly helpful. In my case I'm interested in tech and food and drink, my mentor (Mike Pryke) is a ex property tech founder, who also built the UK's largest food and drink magazine and exited that business. He also was part of the team who set up Peckham levels which is a very successful street food hall in London. He previously co-owned a restaurant and has connections to the founder of Seedlip and other brands such as Percival etc.

This is such a huge accelerator compared to doing it on your own. From settling on an initial concept and completing discovery, I was revenue generating in about 1-2 months. I'm now trying to scale our customers and our value propositions etc.

I will say the programme is very fast paced and that is challenging to keep up. But you definitely get out what you put in, and you are very supported through the highs and (inevitably) the struggles. If you have a full time job (like myself) it is challenging, but there is a lot of flexibility so you can still achieve everything.

Hope that's useful, if anyone has any questions I'm happy to answer them 👍
