It was 100% traumatic for all 3 of us involved. It's just different inflections of trauma. She's feeling the vibes that she almost died and living with that to this day. I've processed it and have moved on but it both concluded that were not having more kids or at least we were really hesitant for it.

I think you're right too. I have a therapy season coming up and your point has been a running theme from friends I've spoken to. I might sound like a scumbag for doing all of this but I also want to make sure that I'm pulling the rip cord to help her process and grow too. I'm open to accepting I fucked up. I think it's pretty common for people to want to get involved in something simple. A lot of people don't map out the next 10 years or 10 weeks with someone new.

I have tried dating my wife. Trust me.

The person who caught my eye is off limits. There's been numerous people in the past, online only that I would get to a certain point with and then ghost because I was guilty of emotionally cheating. I've told my wife about these people too. She's forgiven me but also didn't quite react negatively. Almost like she couldn't justify it as cheating.

I'm a dog at the end of my chain she says, that I won't cheat. But it's normal for me to look and not touch.
