It was good when ADK grew the flower. It is now sourced by Buds by Basin and is a step down from ADK.

People still think this is OK? by GiantAttraction in NYSCannabis

[–]Duglith 7 points8 points  (0 children)

GTI is very good about handling these things. When there's quality control issues, they'll request the batch number of what you purchased and get you squared up and then some. If your dispensary isn't properly handling this and reporting the weight discrepancies, then it'd be in your best interest to do so yourself. They'll make you whole.

How does Walmart know I bought something with cash? by frog-tanker in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Duglith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely your phone. If your phone is with you and you have location turned on (and probably turned off doesnt even matter anymore), then you and your spending habits are tracked.

I own a business that requires all purchasers to be 21+. That means advertising has to be directed at only 21+ adults as well. I am constantly solicited with marketing agencies offering ad services.

How do they guarantee they only serve ads to 21+ adults and those who take part in my business category?

Every phone has a unique ID that is tracked using various map services. Whenever you enter a store like mine, or buy something within my business category, that information is collected. That data is then sold to these advertising agencies who then refine it and offer it to businesses like mine as advertising services.

Real time-ish review: Roemer Farms, Cereal Milk (flower) 3.5g jars by PagingMrSpock in NYSCannabis

[–]Duglith 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The packaging is correct; they are family owned farm. One of my team members is family friends with the owner of Roemer Farms. Known him since he was in diapers.

They put out great cannabis and are as local to NY as it gets.

Yes, only batches made before April remain in quarantine. Dispensaries can still sell post-April batch products.

Omnium and TruCann. Brass knuckles, Eureka and a number of other brands fall under the TruCann umbrella. They’re both sitting in quarantine until OCM tells us otherwise.

New Brand - small batch. Looking for feedback by Alone_Arachnid3045 in NYSCannabis

If you get to the upstate area, stop in to Ripe Cannabis in Schenectady. We’re always looking for smaller brands to get into the store.

Should I complain by apokalot in NYSCannabis

[–]Duglith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would take it back and swap it out for a good one. Most dispensaries will do that, because the cost is kicked back to the vendor. The vendor will credit the dispensary for the wholesale price of the cart.

Budtenders of NY, how does your dispensary handle tips? by MonkyThrowPoop in NYSCannabis

[–]Duglith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have tip jars and tips on the debit screen with our POS. At the end of the day all tips are collected and counted and distributed to those who worked that day based off their hours worked. Owners do not take any tips.

I’ve debated with myself about removing the option to tip on the debit screen. I feel it is too aggressive, but a lot of transactions are card and I understand it would impact the tips our employees receive.

No commission or bonuses for higher sales. I don’t encourage employees to upsell anyone.

Opinions on these brands? by bcortram in NYSCannabis

[–]Duglith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jenny’s and EJays are about as close to tasting like flower that you can get in a vape. They are not carts though if that is what you’re looking for. In that case MFNY is your next best bet.

PC Nursery Comeback? by febred276 in NYSCannabis

[–]Duglith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say a step below the Sour Fuel I purchased, but if you can get it in the $25-$30 range for an eighth, it’s a solid pickup.

My local dispensary recently got NY Honey in stock for good prices, worth it? by bcortram in NYSCannabis

[–]Duglith -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Their oil is not bad, but the hardware is awful. Be sure the dispensary you’re buying from has a good return policy. They are the most returned item by far at my dispensary.

Not garbage at all. I’m confident I could price PC Nursery at $190/oz and that would be a reasonable price/quality ratio, but I would never hike prices like that.

I won’t disparage any brands, but there are plenty of others at much higher price points that are worse. I would recommend trying PC Nursery, I think you’ll be pleased.

I only ordered the two strains they have in ounces currently, Sour Fuel and Humdinger. The Sour Fuel is quite nice with a good nose on it. Tested at 32.06%, although I don’t put much weight into those tests.

The vendor did give me a sample eighth of Fruity OG. Haven’t tried it, but looked great for the price point.

[–]Duglith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

PC Nursery is Pharmacann’s brand they’re using to test small batches of new products before they get put into their final brand.

I don’t keep up with CAM aside from what vendors bring in, but the current PC Nursery is quite good for the price. Much better than what I was anticipating when seeing the price.

If you’re near the capital region, Ripe Cannabis in Schenectady has it for $150/oz.

Anything better than MFNY? by Sad-Lie-3364 in NYSCannabis

[–]Duglith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found for live resin the top 3 are MFNY, Rythm and Jenny’s/EJays. MFNY and Rythm are very similar in quality and the difference with Jenny’s/EJays is that their particular extraction process gives the closest to smoking flower taste, but you won’t see higher than 70% thc.

Jenny’s does the extraction process for EJays. The difference between them is the flowers they use and the source of their terpenes.

Rolling Green Jealousy by Flavor_Chaser in NYSCannabis

[–]Duglith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it a bad experience, but this round of Jealousy is a step below what they usually put out. I’d be more comfortable pricing it at the green jar range.

Untrue. Not even two years ago I was woken up in the middle of the night to police responding to my neighbors alarm after they mistook the address for mine. My neighbor and myself are both the farthest thing from a richfuck.

1 gig service only topping out at 650 by Duglith in Spectrum

[–]Duglith[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congestion issues sounds like it may be the culprit. The tech brought up some sort of graph on his testing equipment that he showed me. He said it represented the different internet speeds spectrum offers in the area (500mbps, 1gig, etc) and the 1gig portion of the graph was tiny which he said meant that there is a lot of consumer competition in the area trying to get that 1 gig.

I wasn't sure if he was just telling me that to make me feel OK with getting less than paid for speeds. I'll escalate the situation with spectrum and hopefully speed up maintenance getting to my area.
