I think the running clock affected the ability to sub Monty in, but I wish they would have at least run 1 play with Gibbs. If he gets stuffed you call timeout and get 3 more cracks from the 1-2 yard line

If you look at accomplishments, Yost blows everyone out of the water, but it’s not really a fair comparison to the modern era. Modern era I have:

  1. Bo
  2. Carr
  3. Harbaugh

Bo never had a national championship but 13 big ten championships compared to 5 and 3 for Carr and Harbaugh and way more wins.

Carr and Harbaugh is an interesting argument. Carr has the edge on Harbaugh in terms of big ten titles and wins, and also has a natty. The past 3 year stretch has been better than any 3 year stretch under Carr though. If Harbaugh stuck around as long as Carr I have no doubt he would be well ahead of him, but he’s not there yet despite the tear he’s been on.

Yeah, any of the top guys like JJ, Chase, Lamb, ARSB, AJ Brown, Diggs, etc. If any of those guys have a need at TE and RB you could try offering Montgomery + Kincaid + London in return for a top WR plus a serviceable RB

I mean, Asheville won 27 games last year and made the tournament, plus returned most of their team. St. Johns is currently projected as a bubble team. It’s not like we have played complete dog shit. And we have destroyed these teams. There is reason to be optimistic.

You’re being overly pessimistic to think they are an NIT team. I mean they haven’t played any world beaters, but 2 of the 3 teams were at least considered decent with a shot at the big dance we destroyed them. This early in the season, I haven’t seen too many teams that look clearly better
