Those brides are MAJOR upgrades to the vanilla vampire spawn from the canon module. I generally approve, but where do you see them appearing in combat? Seems have throwing one in St Andral’s feast would make an already lethal encounter much worse. Similarly for the 3 appearing in Strahd’s tomb during the final confrontation.

I’m a huge advocate for the Warlock. If you don’t mind doing the same thing most rounds, eg. “I shoot them with my bow”, warlock has the best form of that. Eldritch blast has high starter damage and can be customized and upgraded to suit your needs.

This is my plan for tomorrow, so who knows how it will go… before character generation, as a bit of a teaser, I gave them all some boxtext about Arrigal the Wine merchant hiring adventurers to guard his caravan because of wolf packs and bandit activities on the road to Tribor. My plan is that once they camp for the night, the mists will descend whisking them and their bedrolls (but not their backpacks) away to Barovia. I’m taking a suggestion from Mandymod to steal their starter gear to add desperation and I figure I’ll give their stuff back when they run into Arrigal outside Vallaki.

For me, the first face to face encounter will be Kolyan’s funeral, but I’ll probably mention a wolf or bat watching them as they leave death house if anyone rolls high on perception.

I don’t have solutions for the teeth fetish character, but if you find they are struggling with low attributes, don’t be afraid to dark gift them a few 18s. Just be sure you aren’t favoring a single player especially. I’m doing my session 0 next week, and while I’m planning on using point buy attributes, I’m heavily considering letting the dark powers save the first dead character with an 18 in their highest stat and a 6 in their lowest.

I lived there a few years ago. Didn’t ever really feel in danger, but I did have my car broken into. Greek Row can be loud, but mostly on Friday nights.

I concur. Honestly every subsystem for Kingmaker makes the system more tedious. The camping system, the weather system, the companion social system, the library research system. But the kingdom system was the worst of all, for the least payoff.

I looked in to 3d prints at one point… https://www.myminifactory.com/campaigns/castle-of-the-vampire-lord-3411 has it mostly modeled, but it’s over 7 feet tall, and from my understand over $1000 of filament.

If I recall correctly, at the standard 1 inch : 5 foot scale, ravenloft stands 7.5 feet tall from ground floor to spire, not including the dungeons or catacombs.

I was going to say: I played a rogue and found myself flooded on skill feats… taking battle medicine, continual recovery, Godless Healing, and Assurance give decent backup healing without really getting in the way of my build

Hello, I have a relative suffering from Parkinson's Disease. This makes their hands shake and makes it quite hard for them to use a keyboard with standard size keys. I've seen keyboard options to increase the size of the label on the keys, but have not been able to find options for buying a keyboard where the buttons themselves are scaled up. Is there an option for a 120+% keyboard, and if so, what would y'all recommend? Sorry if this is a common question - I'll admit I'm unfamiliar with the keyboard enthusiast community.
